Rudder Analytics partnered closely with our team to assess our existing data environment, identify gaps in data reliability and usability, and design a modernized analytics foundation. The scope included integrating data from multiple operational, financial, and marketing systems, implementing standardized transformation logic, and developing analytics-ready data models aligned with business use cases.

In addition to delivery, Rudder provided strategic guidance on data governance, metric definitions, and architectural trade-offs. Their approach emphasized building a solution that balanced scalability with maintainability, ensuring the platform could evolve alongside the business without unnecessary complexity.

We are a performance digital marketing agency. We manage paid media advertising, SEO, and AWS for our clients. I'm head of revenue and operations, and I oversee our analytics team and general operations.

What challenge were you trying to address with Rudder Analytics?

We wanted to improve our data analytics reporting, dashboarding, and the level and speed of our insights.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prior to our collaboration, we were using Excel or Sheets. We couldn't fully automate those documents, and everything was stitched together. They helped us move to data warehouse and pull in additional channels, CRMs and data sources. They automated the data flow, which allowed us to build better reports. The technologies they use include Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power BI, and I believe they code our ETLs in Python.

What is the team composition?

We started working with two lead partners, and we also work with up to five other team members directly.

How did you come to work with Rudder Analytics?

I think we found them through Upwork. They were very knowledgeable, and we vetted them through some industry professionals.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $10,000-$50,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2016, and we're still working with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their work has a huge impact on our business. We have a lot more confidence in the data and its accuracy. They've significantly reduced errors and improved efficiency, which allows us to reallocate time to analysis and other activities. That results in huge improvements in productivity in higher value-driving areas.

How did Rudder Analytics perform from a project management standpoint?

They work very well in Asana, and they hit all the deadlines we set.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They produce very high-quality work, and their communication in English is very good. They are responsive and timely, and they work well with the difference in time zones. The overlap is good, and they're very much an extension of our office.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They're a really solid partner, and there's very little I would improve. They dropped Google Analytics as part of their service offering, but it would be great if they brought that back. Otherwise, we're happy with everything they do.

We needed a vendor to help us rewrite all of our reports in NetSuite.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We were upgrading our ERP system, and we chose NetSuite. Rudder Analytics helped us rewrite all of our reports in NetSuite, including tableau reports and web development reports.

We've worked with five members of their team.

How did you come to work with Rudder Analytics?

I found them on Google. We tried them out on some smaller reports and the partnership grew from there.

What is the status of this engagement? 

We started working with Rudder Analytics in January 2018 and the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They do high-quality work and I'm very happy with them. They’ve delivered everything I've asked of them. 

How did Rudder Analytics perform from a project management standpoint? 

They're very organized. We use Teamwork to keep track of the project and they've been very responsive despite the time difference. We also use Zoom for our regular meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're very straightforward and don't waste their time. Also, they're great communicators. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. They're my ideal offshore partner. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend using Teamwork and Zoom to keep in touch with them.

Since we work with a wide variety of clients, most projects have unique requirements including data ETL set-ups, working on various cloud-based technologies, statistical analysis, and delivering business dashboards and reports on platforms like Klipfolio, Tableau, Domo etc.

SOLUTION

Rudder Analytics has provided a great solution, from extracting the needed data where possible from Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter APIs. They also connected this to Google Analytics to see which data leads to our client's website.

Furthermore, they helped us achieve our goals with an in-depth analysis and development of Tableau dashboards compared to what would be possible and make most sense related to the extracted data.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Excellent work all across the board. Rudder Analytics did perfect work compared to what could be done from the data point and what was possible in Tableau. Furthermore, they offered great guidance, support, and suggestions for providing the perfect result to us.

Everything, from scope to time of delivery was satisfactory and accomplished within the request deadlines. Rudder Analytics was able to provide that extra kick and give both us and our client the best possible outcome. We will surely use Rudder Analytics again for dashboard development and data validation.

I can only tell the best of Rudder Analytics. They provided extra needed support over weekends and hastily completed tasks with high quality assurance. We saved a huge amount of time, and were not afraid that the data wasn't right or coming in when needed.
