What challenge were you trying to address with RS Creativ?

We needed a company that could help me manage my day-to-day Shopify operations for my brick-and-mortal location and my online location.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started the engagement with a discovery phase and an initial interview. After that, RS Creativ conducted an audit of our entire Shopify website to get an idea of the way it was operating. 

After reviewing the audit with them, they sent me a proposal of the things that they thought could use an improvement as well as the things that we were doing good. We then decided to broaden the scope of the engagement by hiring them to implement those improvements for us.

RS Creativ ended up rebuilding the entirety website from scratch. This involved doing a new Shopify build and updating our theme. We also worked together on all of the site’s copy and SEO.

I’ve recently just signed a 12-month contract with them for the day-to-day management of our Shopify site as well as a 10-month digital marketing program.

I’ve worked closely with Ryan (Partner & Creative Director) and Brennon (Partner & Marketing Director).

I’ve spent around $50,000–$200,000 CAD (Approximately $39,000–$154,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

RS Creativ has definitely increased my expectations of all of our business relationships moving forward. I’ve also received incredibly positive feedback from the people that have seen the website. 

In terms of online conversions or other metrics, we just launched the site last week, so it's still too early to say what the differences are yet.

How did RS Creativ perform from a project management standpoint?

RS Creativ’s project management is top-notch. They deliver everything on time, if not earlier. They put their whole heart into what they do, and it shows.

We primarily communicate through Zoom and Google Teams. We have weekly meetings to ensure that everything is going smoothly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

RS Creativ actually listens to what my concerns and needs are. They really took a deep dive into my business, and they probably knew my business better than I did at the end of the audit. They took all of my insights and made them come to life better than I could have ever imagined.

I also appreciate how personable and helpful they are. If they don’t have an answer to a certain question, they will point us in the right direction.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I have no complaints.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to let them know upfront exactly what your needs are and what you’re looking for. They’ll either tell you upfront that they could do it, or they would point you in the direction of somebody else who can.

We needed a mail-in order repair landing page with customized forms and design work on Shopify. Our goal was the have the project finished in a tight timeline.

RS Creativ showed an incredible amount of experience and knowledge in our ecommerce platform. We also trust the founders of the company.

We provided a scope of work, a discovery phase was implemented to manage the expectations and scope of work. The new landing page with submission form capabilities was the main deliverable. This was all to be done on our existing website and platform on Shopfiy.

The project was launched on time and on budget. We were happy with the results.

The management and communication were excellent. We felt like we were always in the loop and the tools used for quoting was simple and convenient.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The discovery phase was refreshing to see as most companies like to quote without diving deep into what is actually needed.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nobody is perfect. When a minor tweak was needed, the team was on top of it right away.

We are a retail brick and mortar company that moved to the online space (shopify). I am the president/co owner of the company

Our website was created by myself on shopify originally and needed a lot of work. We wanted to offer the absolute best customer user experience while tying it in to our retail brick and mortar loyalty and marketing systems. We also needed help transitioning to a new retail POS. RS creativ also handles all our digital marketing, new product additions and launches.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We selected RS creativ because they seemed like a perfect fit. Very boutique feel and custom solutions for exactly what we needed. Very hands on from the proposal stage and on.

They handle the full re development (twice now) of our shopify store, The full catalogue management. They also fully integrated a new loyalty system (that they found for my needs) and helped me merge a new pos for my retail. On top of this they handle all of our digital marketing and social platforms. They also found and manage the relationship with our SEO contractors.

3 people, 2 for marketing and technical development and one additional person helps with social platforms

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

RS Creativ expertly guided my Shopify store in the right direction with strategic decisions in almost every area from a streamlined user experience, automatic A.I. age verification, high-performance promotion development and execution, day-to-day management of the store, and plenty more. Performance over the last 10 months is up in every category, from 80% increase in conversion, 900% increase in sales, 850% increase in orders.

Very timeline oriented and very punctual. Communication with them is always amazing; they are there for us anytime I need anything. They are fully Integrated into our in house (slack) communication system. Very professional but very human, like a member of my full time team.

How hands on and personal they are. Like previously mentioned they are like a full time member of our team, is fully involved with all our staff.

I am the owner of Collective - A Craft Beer Shop. We are a retail liquor store specializing in craft beer from independent breweries, distilleries and wineries.

With the ever changing retail space, we hired RS Creativ for website re-development and an online shopping experience.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We met Ryan through the shop and he told us that he was starting his own business. Since we love supporting our community and small business, we felt Ryan would be a good fit for our projects.

We had an introductory meeting to discuss our needs and the vision we had. We really liked our design from our previous website, but didn't love the layout or ability in managing it ourselves. We also needed capacity to expand our business in an e-commerce platform to widen our customer service. We focused on: - website review, purpose and design - online shop and inventory development/training - ongoing support with Shopify apps to support our online business

We worked with 2 people. Ryan does design/creative and Brennon is more technical.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our online sales are increasing every week. As a company we need to strategize next steps and prioritize website development.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

As a very busy small business, their timelines were quick to meet our immediacy, which left us holding them up due to all the hats we wear. There were some communication issues regarding end product, but we were able to work it out.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

RS Creativ is very efficient and has a great follow-up process. Ryan and Brennon are very different personalities and skill set. The two of them complement each other well.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Since they are website experts and not beer experts, more questions regarding our products would allow for smooth project completion. Also, we wanted our website to be similar to our in store shopping experience. Ryan and Brennon have so much knowledge, that the work being done was too high level for our simple request.

The website is gaining traffic and is a nice home for the retail shop for people to see the products in stock

We talked to each other using phone calls, text messages and video chats throughout the entire project. They were done every few days / weekly

They gave us insight into what we should and shouldn't do in setting up the website for a user-friendly experience.
