Robert McArthur Studios

Robert’s professional career began in 1974 when his first client approached him to design a home, prompting Robert to establish RGM Design. Although still in high school at the time, Robert’s inherent talent and love for design helped him successfully carry-out his first architectural project. Shortly thereafter he worked as the home plan designer for the Maple Hills development and the Condos at Maple Hills in Bountiful, Utah. Robert graduated from the University of Utah with a BFA in Interior Design and Housing in 1982 and a Master of Architecture in 1984. He began his career working for Hallet Hermansen Architects and John S. Brunt Architects in Salt Lake City. Since then Robert has helped clients with residential architecture, interior design and landscape design in Laguna Niguel and Rancho Santa Fe, California and in various cities throughout Utah. Commercially, Robert has worked as a Project Designer and Consultant with Gensler & Associates to restore the historic gate façade of the original MGM Studios in Century City, California. He also spent three years teaching interior design courses at the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. Robert designed the Bed & Breakfast Inn in Murray, Utah, and re-designed the interior of the common space at the American Towers in Salt Lake City. His accomplishments include designing the interiors of the TMS Olympic Transportation House in Park City, Utah, and working as one of five Senior Interior Designers for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints designing the San Paulo Temple in Brazil, the Manhattan Temple in New York, and the Newport Beach Temple in California.
