In the 1980s, Robert Canis attended Paddington College in London, where he gained a BTECH National Diploma in Photography. At the age of 19 he was awarded an ARPS (Associate) in the nature category.
Since the 90s Robert Canis has contributed on a semi-regular basis to the photographic press and he is represented by several international curated agencies. Over the years, Robert has been extremely fortunate to be the recipient of numerous awards including the Royal Photographic Society’s Gold Medal and in 2014 he was appointed a Nikon ambassador for their Extreme Weather Photography campaign.
