One area for improvement could be enhancing the depth of the post-assessment support. While the initial findings and recommendations were thorough, providing more follow-up resources or guidance on implementing remediation steps would further empower our team.

I searched for MSSPs in the industry and found Rewterz. Their founder spoke in a lot of places, and they seemed like a legitimate business, so I reached out to them. I decided to work with them because of their understanding of the cybersecurity world, price, and professionalism.

We’ve spent $2,100 on our most recent project with them.

We’ve been working with them on and off for about 4–5 years.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since working with Rewterz, we’ve saved time and money, and our customer satisfaction has increased by 100%. They’ve also done a great job on our most recent project.

How did Rewterz perform from a project management standpoint?

They communicate well and deliver on time and budget. They really know how to cater to their customers, which is rare to find in other companies. We use multiple project management tools, including Trello, Asana, and Microsoft Planner.

I would like to give a shout-out to Faiz. He understands the requirements, knows the business really well, and pays attention to details. Overall, he’s made our life a lot easier.

Rewterz is really good at what they do — I don’t think there’s any other company in the US that’s as good as them.

I can’t think of anything they can improve on.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs

Work with Rewterz blindly. I’ve never had to babysit a project; they do a lot of the work for me. In a nutshell, if clients want their headaches gone, they should talk to Rewterz.

Rewterz writes scripts and performs white box and black box testing of our app's entire structure and coding. Rewterz has completed the high-level structure testing and is working on deep testing.

We found Rewterz online. I was inclined towards the team because of their knowledge and experience in cybersecurity. I also went with Rewterz because we're both located in Pakistan and physically close to me, being available to perform penetration testing. We could have face-to-face meetings, which is better for this service. We also found it convenient that Rewterz could deploy resources in our office and that they were cost-effective.

I'm the general director of the National Information Technology Board, Pakistan's national IT board. In my role, I lead three departments: the first is in charge of our cloud infrastructure, the second is in charge of software development, and the third one is in charge of consulting and advising.

I needed to protect our network from cybersecurity attacks and implement a good solution for email protection, sandboxing, and web gateway. Therefore, I hired Rewterz to provide us with a complete solution.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Rewterz has done a cybersecurity assessment for us and provided us with Trellix's complete suite. The team has studied my network and prepared a document detailing their findings during the cybersecurity assessment. Based on that document, Rewterz has implemented the solution and tested it in different environments. Moreover, they've provided training for my technical staff. their work has been both on-site and remote.

What is the team composition?
We've worked with five teammates from Rewterz, including a team lead who works remotely, a sandboxing expert, a web gateway expert, and two support engineers.

How did you come to work with Rewterz?
I've known Rewterz since 10 years ago, as they were working for me in my previous company. We worked with them for two years, and they provided me with the same solution back then.

How much have you invested with them?
We've spent around ₹22 million INR (approximately $262,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in March 2022 for the cybersecurity assessment. The cybersecurity software implementation was done in September 2022, and although it has been completed, our engagement is still ongoing. I acquired the subscription for three years of service, so our contract will be finished in September 2025.

Thanks to Rewterz's work, our cybersecurity attacks have reduced to less than 1%.

How did Rewterz perform from a project management standpoint?
Rewterz delivers on time and on budget. When we initially awarded them the project, they provided us with a complete project management schedule and implementation plan. Since then, the team has followed it strictly. We use Microsoft Project for project management.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I would like to give a shout-out to the team lead and the sandboxing expert, as both have done a remarkable job. I would also like to highlight our account manager, who has also done an outstanding job.

Are there any areas they could improve?
Everything can always be improved, as there's no such thing as perfection. It would be great if Rewterz's support staff received training on the products themselves. They have multiple project going on, so they need to train everyone on all the products they offer.

What challenge were you trying to address with Rewterz?

We received a cyber-attack and needed cybersecurity services to support and mitigate it. We wanted an incident response at a Security Operations Center (SOC) level.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially hired Rewterz to solve the incident because the cybersecurity incident had compromised the entire environment and Microsoft stack. We called Rewterz, and they deployed the solution right away. Then, they analyzed the logs, set up the SOC for incident response, and cleared any malware and compromise that was there.

Afterward, our management brought them on board as software service providers. Since then, they’ve managed our SOC security services.

Additionally, they’ve offered to extend their security assessment services for any incident, malware analysis, or off-site service that’s a level three support.

What is the team composition?

We started with 20 resources and then reduced it to 8–10 to do morning, evening, and night shifts. We currently have 6–7 people.

How did you come to work with Rewterz?

We were already working with them. They were doing IT security assessments and a landscape assessment. During that period, I identified the incident; there was a compromise. Rewterz figured it out and helped us solve it.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them long before, in 2019, but our partnership was on and off. On October 29th, 2021, they started looking for us. Our senior management contacted them and brought them on board; my boss was the original head of the strategy. We picked up the phone and called Faiz (Founder & Chairman), and they were kind enough to send in 15–20 resources within two hours.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re pretty satisfied with Rewterz, so we continue with their services.

How did Rewterz perform from a project management standpoint?

We initially sat with them and identified certain services that needed to be taken care of immediately. After a couple of days, we decided there was probably more scope for the project. Another solution was probably required, which would later be free of cost. My boss called the chairman directly, and he told him not to worry about it; he’d do it in two hours. Two hours later, Rewterz sent their project managers, SOC managers, three other resources, and even their media services. Overall, Rewterz has been very responsive, supportive, and cooperative.

We mainly communicate through Zoom calls, in-person meetings, Microsoft Teams, and emails.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

We talk to and coordinate directly with Faiz because our boss knows him. There’s also the account manager and the SOC manager. However, our point of contact is the chairman. He handles the project in person out of courtesy, which is quite surprising.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their professionalism is outstanding. When we went into the incident, we were scared and worried. We were in shock and didn’t know the situation or how much data was compromised. Faiz came in and talked to our board, including our president, and was very supportive.

Moreover, they’re very humble people. Rewterz has been here to help us out in any way we want. Half of the time, we don’t understand anything because the zero-day attacks are tough to challenge, and there were five zero-day attacks. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should add more resources to their pool because cybersecurity services are very scarce in the market. They have cybersecurity resources but need more project managers. They need small project managers so they can easily explain all the technical jargon to the business people. The only challenge we faced was that the senior management needed help understanding those topics. Then, the account manager came into the picture and explained all that.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I can’t think of anything at the moment. Our only concern was that someone had to jump in to bridge between the technology and the senior management.
