Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We work with Renaiss to support different area of our product, which includes development and deployment of various services. We have worked on multiple projects together from AI model fine tuning, to creating AI eval frameworks, to UI projects for the product, backend data pipeline engineering, AWS Cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, data integrations, etc.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We work in sprints and measure on feature delivery timeliness and overall quality at unit and integration level. Ultimately, we masure how customers value our product and we are happy with the results we have achieved together.

We have engineers embeded in our team and we work in weekly iterations. Items are deliver on time and according with expectations. Unlike other consultancies are oganized, we consider the Renaiss team part of our team in every aspect. They work to ensure we have the right skills and talents, and we organize the work for the product.

The company is a very close partner. They are always looking out for our interests and supporting us when we need help. It is a strategic relationship not just a commercial project transaction. We have been able to deliver great results working in a focused manner together.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Renaiss could have done differently?

We worked to evolve and coordinate our candidate selection to fit our needs specifically. Not a gap, but it has been great to collaborate with them on this.

I’m the CTO of DryRun Security, an AI-powered code security engine that helps developer and security teams identify and address software risks missed by traditional scanning tools. We’re designed to power the next generation of how software ships.

What challenge were you trying to address with Renaiss?

We needed full-time support on our Golang backend and React frontend design work. The candidates had to be highly skilled and experienced since we’re a small team trying to accomplish a huge mission.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Renaiss has primarily worked on integrations with GitLab, an overhaul of our frontend, and re-plumbing some of our architecture. The team has done all of that and more. They’ve been basically like employees doing all the things like my other team members.

Someone referred Renaiss to me. I chose them over other options because they had high ratings, their pricing fit our budget, they were a great culture fit, they offered good value for the cost, and their company values aligned with ours.

We started working with them in February 2025, and our engagement ended in March 2026.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve met all our KPIs thanks to Renaiss’s work. The developers they’ve sent us have been incredible. They’re great culture fits, self-starters, and up to speed in no time. I was initially hesitant to have any contractors involved because we had hand-selected our engineers and built a very small but elite team. However, my colleagues assured me of Renaiss’s high-quality standards. I’m really happy I listened and went with them. If you’re lucky enough to get these folks, you’ll be happy you did so.

They deliver on time and are very communicative and well-organized. We communicate via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you’re skeptical of outsourcing or working with overseas developers like I was, don’t be. These folks are incredible; you should hire them.

I am the Engineering Manager and DevOps Lead at Kilimo, an agtech company that partners with farmers and agricultural organizations to advance sustainable irrigation practices and water security. Our mission is to leverage technology to ensure water availability for communities, ecosystems, and economic development.

What challenge were you trying to address with Renaiss?

We required expertise in implementing a multi-cloud security layer to protect both internal and external communications. Additionally, we needed support designing and building a data lake with a data ingestion pipeline.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Renaiss architected and deployed a multi-cloud security layer leveraging Cloudflare, AWS, and Azure. The team managed the implementation using Terraform Infrastructure-as-Code and validated each deployment step. For the data lake, they designed the schema and implemented the infrastructure on AWS, including an Apache Airflow pipeline for automated data ingestion.

We collaborated with a team of 2–5 engineers from Renaiss.

We engaged Renaiss through a professional referral. We selected them over other candidates based on strong cultural alignment, competitive pricing, and shared company values.

We worked together from January to October 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We maintained weekly synchronization meetings and near-daily communications with the Renaiss team. Deliverables resulted in measurable improvements: AWS infrastructure costs were reduced by $500 per month, and we successfully deployed our first production data lake. This data lake served as a proof of concept for future analytics initiatives. Security improvements were validated by confirming that inter-service communication routes through our internal network, and unauthorized direct access attempts outside our Cloudflare gateway are blocked.

Communication was seamless across multiple channels, including scheduled virtual meetings, email, and real-time messaging platforms.
