BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the customer marketing manager at a consumer goods company. I’m in charge of the in-store marketing related to new launches, activations, engagement, and trade-off price. We sell chocolates, pet food, gum, candy, and more.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Rely Industries?

We were throwing away many displays. It was very expensive paying for logistics or people to reach, take, change, and send back the displays. We needed to have something modular and efficient where we could rebrand.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Rely Industries developed and designed displays according to the customer’s requirements, including size and height. The display had to have an extremely flexible mechanic based on the number of times people could change it. The display also had to be easy to install.

What is the team composition?

We worked with two people from Rely Industries. 

How did you come to work with Rely Industries?

We had been working with Rely Industries for 20 years.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested around $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

This project lasted from May–July 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The mechanic of the display was an extremely feasible spot. It was exactly what we needed and easy to install. The display looked great as a PDF and looked good in stores. However, it wasn’t able to move from side to side easily. The display needed a wheel or something that could adjust to it. We didn’t get that solution, but we reduced the cost of time, which was what we were looking for.

How did Rely Industries perform from a project management standpoint?

We didn’t give Rely Industries a deadline because we understood the technical complexity of the project. Nevertheless, they prioritized us because we had been working with them for a very long time, and we were a big business to them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The Rely Industries’ reliability stood out. If there was an issue with the installation, design, or material, they were always there to fix it very fast.

Are there any areas they could improve?

In terms of opportunities, I’d say creativity could be improved — Rely Industries had a slight lack of that. As a result, we had to tell them what to do, instead of Rely Industries coming to us with a solution.

Any advice for potential customers?

I recommend people trust Rely Industries when it comes to technicality and feasibility. They’re very strong at that. If people are looking for someone creative and cost-effective, then Rely Industries is the best. Their cost is low compared to other companies.
