BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m an Engineering Manager at Emumba. We’re a software services company that partners with enterprises to deliver GenAI solutions, data platforms, cloud-native applications, DevOps, test automation, and UI/UX design, focusing on innovation and engineering excellence.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Recruit Champions?

We wanted to hire for senior DevOps engineers. Our recruitment cycle for such complex and senior positions was too long. Our hope was that Recruit Champions would provide us with a headhunted candidate list and manage the initial candidate outreach. The target was to reduce the time to hire from almost 4–5 months to weeks.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Recruit Champions handled headhunting, initial screening, and coordination with Eba’s internal HR and candidates. They provided a weekly list of candidates that fit the job description well.

What is the team composition?

We worked with two teammates from Recruit Champions.

How did you come to work with Recruit Champions?

We found them through a referral.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February 2025. We completed hiring for the senior DevOps role in April, but then we gave more positions to Recruit Champions. At the moment, our engagement with them is paused.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Recruit Champions provided a weekly list of candidates that fit the job description well and met our expectations.

How did Recruit Champions perform from a project management standpoint?

The average time to move candidates through our hiring process was 2–4 weeks. We communicated through meetings and Slack messages.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Recruit Champions’ professionalism and efficient communication were impressive. They were also quick to understand what kind of candidates we were looking for.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Overall, the experience was great with them. There were minor gaps in communication which, hopefully, will improve with time.

What did you learn from working with them?

We learned that better collaboration leads to a reduced time to hire. The new average time to hire after the improvements in collaboration was less than two months.
