I’m the marketing head of a company that provides end-to-end software engineering solutions, including AR/VR/MR applications, mobile apps, and game development. We help businesses across various industries achieve digital transformation with the latest technologies.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Real XR?

We needed additional Unity development resources for a furniture-based AR application. Our main goals were to increase development capacity, build and optimize the Unity-side AR experience, and ensure smooth integration with the Android application managed by us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Real XR provided Unity development support for a furniture-based AR mobile application. Their team focused mainly on the Unity and AR components, while we handled the Android application and overall project coordination.

The main deliverables included AR surface and plane detection, realistic furniture placement in the user’s environment, object movement, rotation and scaling, 3D model integration, interaction logic, and Unity-side UI development. They also optimized the 3D assets and application performance to ensure smooth operation on supported Android devices.

Real XR worked closely with our Android developers to integrate the Unity AR module into the main application, resolve compatibility issues, test the complete user flow, and fix technical bugs. They also provided suggestions to improve usability, placement accuracy, visual presentation, and overall AR performance.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The project was completed within the planned three-month timeline, with all key Unity and AR milestones delivered successfully. The final app showed smoother furniture placement, better performance, improved stability, and fewer integration issues on Android devices.

We didn’t track formal benchmark scores or exact bug-reduction percentages. However, 100% of the planned AR milestones were completed within three months, with smoother furniture placement, improved Android stability, and fewer issues during final testing.

We didn’t conduct formal satisfaction surveys, but testers gave positive feedback about smoother furniture placement, easier controls, and better stability. They also found the AR experience more realistic and user-friendly.

How did Real XR perform from a project management standpoint?

Real XR’s project management was organized, responsive, and collaborative, with regular updates and quick issue resolution. They completed the agreed Unity and AR deliverables within the three-month timeline.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What impressed us most was Real XR’s strong Unity and AR expertise, combined with their ability to work smoothly with our Android team. They also suggested practical improvements that made the furniture placement experience more stable, realistic, and user-friendly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Overall, we were satisfied with Real XR’s work. They could improve by providing more detailed technical documentation and testing on a wider range of Android devices earlier in the project.
