RAKO Media is a social-first marketing agency in Melbourne, founded and run by Joseph Rako.
We work on organic social media, not paid advertising. The reasoning is simple: paid ads are rent, and organic content is equity. Money spent on ads stops working the moment you stop paying, whereas an audience built through content is an asset the business owns outright.
Every engagement starts with strategy. Content pillars, audience definition, tone of voice and funnel mapping get defined before a single video is made. From there we run structured shoot days on site, capturing a full month of content in a day, then edit every video natively for the platform it lands on: a hook in the first second, pacing that holds attention, captions and sound built for the feed rather than repurposed from an ad.
Each month closes with a performance report and a one-hour strategy call with Joseph directly, where the numbers actually change what happens next.
The agency is kept small on purpose. Fewer clients, deeper work, and no handing your brand to someone who has never met you.
Results include growing St Andrews Hotel in Fitzroy from 35,000 to over 300,000 monthly organic views with zero ad spend, and taking The Butcher Club from 37,000 to over 1,000,000 organic views in their biggest months while launching their TikTok from scratch.

RAKO Media exists because I saw good businesses being let down by hands-off, templated agency work.
I started in hospitality, learning to read a room and earn trust in real time. Then I trained as a Social Media Specialist inside one of Australia's top agencies, where I saw exactly why so many businesses feel overwhelmed by social.
So I built the opposite. Deliberately small. Fewer clients, deeper work. You deal with me every time, not an account manager.
