Quality Testing and Engineering, Inc. (QTE) was founded by Michael A. Widman in April of 2000 to provide a wide variety of construction material testing, geoteclmical engineering, and other development services. To better address the growing needs of clients, Mr. Jack Mutchler was hired in 2002 to manage the environmental, archaeological, and wetland consulting services. The company soon gained a reputation for providing quality, timely service. Within two years of operation, QTE experienced substantial growth. This warranted additional professional staff. Mr. Wayne Smith, Soil Scientist Eric Marlinghaus, P.E., Construction Services Manager, and Chad Maitens, Environmental Project Manager, joined QTE in 2002, 2003, and 2007 respectively. QTE’s excellent reputation began to earn substantial recognition in Missouri resulting in the opening of QTE’s regional office in Wentzville on March 1, 2006.  A dedicated professional staff and state-of-the-art technology assure QTE’s ability to continue its tradition of premium service to clients. QTE technicians are ACI, MoDOT, and IDOT certified.
