We are Canada’s largest traffic management company, providing traffic control solutions, equipment rentals and sign manufacturing to keep workers and the travelling public safe on the road.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What specific goals or objectives did you hire Puggers Video Production to accomplish?

• Replace in-person safety orientation with a consistent set of training videos that every crew member sees the same way, whether they start in BC, Alberta or another region.
• Our goal was to create short, engaging videos that made important safety requirements easy to understand and apply in the field. Specifically, we wanted to: - Reinforce Part 18 requirements through practical examples of safe positioning, escape routes, risk assessments and communication. - Supplement our online and onsite training with regular refreshers that keep safety front of mind. - Show traffic control workers as trained safety professionals protecting themselves, crews and the public. - Help drivers understand AFADs and how to respond safely when approaching them. The overall purpose was to turn safety requirements into everyday habits that help everyone get home safely.
• Make the training usable company-wide: narrated videos with scripts the company could adapt for regional regulations and other languages later.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We partnered with Puggers to create a series of short, practical safety videos for our traffic control workers, supported by filming at active worksites. The deliverables included 10 micro-learning videos covering key Part 18 requirements, such as safe positioning, escape routes, risk assessments and communication, plus two public-facing videos explaining automated flagger assistance devices (AFADs) and how drivers should respond. The videos were designed for ongoing training, safety meetings and regular refreshers, with the AFAD videos also intended for social media and public education.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Rolled out across the whole organization after delivery. Other regions (Ontario, Washington, Oregon) asked for the narration scripts to adapt the series locally, and a French version was raised for Quebec.

The VP of Health and Safety left a public Google review of the work in August 2026 and approved a written case study in September, both unprompted by a campaign.

They brought thoughtful creative ideas while staying focused on our goals. When rain or unexpected site challenges affected filming, they always had a backup plan and kept things moving without wasting time. Their motivation and adaptability helped deliver videos that exceeded our expectations.

They listened to our ideas, adapted to our requests and consistently delivered. That willingness to work through challenges with us really stood out.
