I'm the senior director of promotion and creative for NBC Sports Group for The Golf Channel.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Provid Films?

We got a late green-light on a high profile project that involved a 90-second ad set to air before the Super Bowl. It involved filming a famous golfer and his family on a golf course in Minnesota. I needed help shooting the footage under a very tight deadline. We only had four hours with the actors and I essentially had to get the whole project shot and posted within a five-day period.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

When I contacted Provid, we were under a lot of pressure to shoot the footage we needed in a short timeframe. After laying out the requirements, their team had a couple days to prepare and execute the shoot in challenging outdoor conditions. They arranged for seven or eight setups in 18-degree weather, providing crew and filming services. We then took the footage with us and edited it on our end.

What is the team composition?

We worked with a crew of about 12–15 people on the shoot.

How did you come to work with Provid Films?

I just quickly chose a company I found online locally that could get the work done in a short timeframe. We kind of took a risk and just went with Provid, but it worked out very well.

How much have you invested with them?

The budget for the project was about $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them in January 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We had very important clients to please on this project, who were ultimately very happy with the end result. The response we received from video was very positive—it was seen by over 35 million people on Super Bowl Sunday and performed very well online.

How did Provid Films perform from a project management standpoint?

They handled our project incredibly well despite the immense amount of pressure we put on them. I was very impressed with how quickly they were able to mobilize a team and make it happen.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Not only were they flexible and nimble in the situation, but also very professional in the way they presented themselves at the high-end golf course we shot the footage at. I had a lot riding on this project and I couldn't have done it without them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. If there were any issues that came up, I didn't know about them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Try to give them more lead time than I did. Communication is key in these types of situations, so the more you can talk through your needs with them the better.
