We create curricular resources to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities through quality instruction in ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, Life Skills, Personal Care Skills, and Pre-Voc/Transition Skills!

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Proofed was given the task of proofreading and editing full curricular resources for students with disabilities, including Instructor's Guides, Student Workbooks, posters, flashcards, and other components with consistency and accuracy. The team did an amazing job adhering to the style guide and updating it as they learned more about our audience and unique needs. Their comments are detailed, straightforward, and helpful. It's been a great partnership for us so far!

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It has been a relief to have Proofed as they've put a consistent process in place for our proofreading and editing.  It has been wonderful building on this relationship so our team better understands our needs for each consecutive project. They have been responsive and receptive to criticism; overall, the partnership with Proofed has been exactly what I was hoping for!

Yes, they were consistently communicative and responsive to our needs.  All timelines were met and any feedback that was given was integrated into each subsequent project! Proofed has been a real asset for us!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive thing has been their ongoing modifications to our style guide to better support our vision and our overall needs for all future publications. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Proofed could have done differently?

With multiple team members working on the same project, there can be a bit of inconsistency across books/documents. However, when this was pointed out, they were quick to jump on the issue and correct it!

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We worked with Proofed in the editing and (mainly) proofreading of the grant applications we work with. The grant documents were approximately 3000-4000 words long.

The key aspects Proofed helped us with were:

• Proofreading each of the applications
• Editing down certain sections to help stay within word count. 
• Writing supporting copy to summarise the content of each application
• Inserting information/copy from supporting documents into the main application.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Proofed was head and shoulders above the other companies we spoke with in regards to both a consistent and reliable high quality, and ability to integrate into our systems using technology. Proofed also had a great response time to any questions and their team clearly cared about the work and wanting to help as best they could. 
The editing of the applications were very reliably to the high standard we needed. Proofed were also very flexible to our personal requirements and had great communications throughout. 

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The items were always on time and well communicated. If I ever had any questions I always knew who to reach out to and they were always quick to respond the same day. Proofed was also able to accomodate a number of specific requirements into the process with ease, where as other proofreading companies we spoke to always struggled to adapt.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Very good communication and able to adapt and incorporate specific requirements into the process. I spoke with a dozen other proofreading companies and worked with 3 of them prior to working with Proofed. None of the other companies ever had the same level of communication or ability to integrate seamlessly with our systems/processes. 
Other companies also always struggled to adapt to our requirements, where as Proofed was always able to quickly adapt and ensure a high and reliable standard from the beginning. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Proofed could have done differently?

None that I can think of.
