We have tasked many agencies before to move our website into modern times and facilitate a E-commerce transformation, all previous firms have left us with sub standard end products that do not operate in a user friendly manner or get the results we desire. We hired Poptag to create a new website and assist us in joining the E-commerce world to market our products online.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I did extensive research on many E-commerce websites until I found what I liked and then got references as to who had done the work and what they were like. I then contacted them,in the middle of the night and got an instant reply and set up meetings to commence ASAP.

I only had dealings with the owner Adam.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Adam is incredibly knowledgeable about what he does and yet manages to communicate in simple language what he will achieve. He setup a mock up of what our website could look like in a matter of hours and we were live and making money from it within a few days.

Adams communication is simple and effective, he is on the ball and follows up regularly for outstanding things. He is easy to deal with, friendly, polite and a wealth of knowledge for what he does.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Poptag are the only people who are actually more interested in helping you make money instead of taking your money. They were always available to give genuine expert advice.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

no they are just excellent all round!

Assistance with reinventing my website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We walked through a number of different options to choose the best theme on Shopify for my website. They implemented the new theme and assisted in the functionality.

What is the team composition?

I worked directly with the Creative Director.

How did you come to work with POPTAG Agency?

I was looking for the perfect team to help me re-brand my website. I wanted to work with someone who I knew would be able to understand my vision and do the job well. I came across POPTAG on LinkedIn and after reviewing their work I thought they would be the perfect fit for my brand.

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership started in June 2021, and we are still working together on ideas and strategies to grow Lauprene globally.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’m not yet able to measure the success because the new website only went live last week.  I'm very impressed with my overall website.

Poptag assisted with recommendations for different payment gateways that I can use in South Africa, and have given me a few ideas in terms of how to advertise my collections. Moreover, they’ve categorised collections into different colors, which is quite user-friendly for my customers. 

How did POPTAG Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

I can be quite particular when it comes to site content, but Poptag were very understanding and efficient.

We utilise Google Drive for project management and Google Dropbox, while communication is typically done via Google Meets. They schedule appointments that work around my working hours as Western Australia is 6 hours ahead of South Africa. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Design, creativity, and attention to detail.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I am overall very happy with their services and have no negative feedback.

Any advice for potential customers?

Poptag are creative, digital and marketing experts who have extensive experience around Shopify.  They are a pleasure to work with and go the extra mile to get the job done right.

Zoflora is a concentrated disinfectant. It’s a leading disinfectant in the UK, but we import the product to South Africa.

What challenge were you trying to address with POPTAG AGENCY?

We started off very small with a few pages and little images on our site. We needed something that fit the business world and would attract clients.

The main focus we wanted with an agency was someone that would come up with their own ideas. We wanted someone hands-on.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

After our first conversation with Adam (Founder), he knew what we needed as a business. He also looked at our website and current sales. We needed a good call to action for our clients. The second part involved the marketing side of how to take our business to the next level.

Adam guided us over Shopify themes and payment options.

What is the team composition?

We’ve only dealt with Adam.

How did you come to work with POPTAG AGENCY?

I’m an avid Facebooker, and Adam is part of a group I’m in. A discussion occurred about what people look for in developers. After being unsatisfied with our previous developer, we saw some of their work and thought our business could partner with them.

I got to know Adam a little more and then set up a call with him after seeing his work and past marketing projects. During the call, we only explained what our product is. Before we could even finish, Adam laid everything on the table. He was very well-prepared and had answers to our questions in his introduction.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested about $42,000 ZAR (approximately $2,800 USD) in their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in December 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We just went live in early January, but we’ve seen more call to action through our website purchases. The number of abandoned carts has decreased significantly.

How did POPTAG AGENCY perform from a project management standpoint?

They went the extra mile for us. The day we went live with the site, there were a few glitches. Adam went out of his way to sort out all of the glitches late at night to ensure we could go live. He also did this at no extra charge.

Adam works very transparently. He lets clients know how far he is. Every day I was in contact with Adam to ask about developments.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Out of all the developers I’ve worked with, they stand out the most creatively. Adam has the right skilled knowledge to determine what needs to be done. I didn’t have to give him any information because he was able to put together his own. That is what stands out in a developer.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Adam could’ve advised us to wait a day or two to go live. There might’ve been a lot of push from us. With all of the glitches we had, he could’ve saved a little bit for a day or two. But I can’t hold that against him because, as a business, we needed to go live.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Adam covers everything so well. There’s no other advice I could give anybody. He doesn’t beat around the bush.
