Picture Day

Picture Day was born out of Warling Studios, a commercial photography studio specializing in photography of children. Warling Studios serves commercial clientele including advertising agencies, national magazines and corporations. Warling Studios currently creates kid portraiture for a pretty impressive (if we do say so ourselves) clientele in America and across the world.

Picture Day is the creation of Brian Warling. Brian guides the look of images created by the studio with his strong graphic sensibilities, use of color, focus and an eye for the beauty of simplicity.

In 2003, we decided to take our talent for photographing children into the schools. We offer a creative alternative to the traditional style of school portraits usually seen and delight parents in the process with natural, studio-quality portraits. We photograph children in schools the same way we photograph children in any venue. We truly enjoy meeting kids, talking to them and creating pictures that reflect their personality. Our subjects are comfortable, happy and able to be themselves. Parents will notice the personality of their child coming through expressed in the portraits we take— we achieve this within the familiar school picture process, just done better!
