Install new Meraki Firewall. Take down old Sophos firewall. Ensure smooth and effective flow of internet through new firewall. Ensure Norlift's other software and systems function smoothly in conjunction with new firewall.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our internet is flowing smoothly through our new firewall now. Are system is better future proofed and more secure than it was on Sophos.

It was a rather long project, but I think this was deliberate. They installed the Meraki in parallel to our Sophos and ran a bunch of tests on it. They trained our team how to VPN in through the new firewall. Then eventually they switched things over to be piped through the new firewall entirely. Last, they removed the Sophos firewall.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

P3 is very easy to work with. Their team was professional and helpful. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Philantech3 could have done differently?

While P3 worked hard to plan for everything, there were a couple hiccups through the process. Some things we use regularly had not been whitelisted to go through the new firewall and got hung up once all the traffic was deverted to it. Also, we had multiple internet outages after the new firewall started taking all our traffic. Through these issues, P3 remained responsive and worked quickly to resolve them and keep us operational.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Philantech3 transitioned our company from an on premise service that hosted our point of sale software to the Azure environment. Our point of sale software can only operate from one instance i.e. a server at any given time. We built a new clubhouse that is far enough away from the main clubhouse that we had no solid way to connect the buildings. This required moving the POS to Azure and directing all our endpoints to that source.

The project overall included updating all machines to windows 11, moving the server and POS software to Azure, configuration of VPN tunnels for the Azure network to work with the on premises network, and tie everything together so all sales could run through as if there were still an on premise server.

In addition to our POS terminals we also have our front of house employees and management staff that work both on and off site. Philantech3 came up with a strategy to move all active directory profiles to Azure Active Directory in addition to utilizing sharepoint and onedrive to replace the roaming profiles and network shared drives. Philantech also provided training for all aspects of the change as it was hard for some users.

Once we made the full transition and got all the bugs worked out, which was done before our peak season, we never had such a flawless year.

Smooth IT environment in a cloud solution. Increased remote access & flexibility with equipment.

Everything from the purchase and delivery of products to scheduled onsite installs all stayed on track with the schedule if not before hand. We had some struggles with the transition and issues with this being unknown territory for our point of sale software. Philantech3, without hesitation, took full charge, listened to our issues and struggles, and came up with a solution for each and every issue. In addition, their followup to the issues was excellent.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What I found most impressive about Philantech3 was there ability to adapt and change to the complexe nature of our systems and geological location.

I don't see any areas of improvement needed as we brought up any issues we found with the new system and they were quickly and efficiently handled.

Our goal in signing on with Philantech3 was to have an IT source for both security and computer issues.  Philantech3 has provided excellent customer service involving technical issues as well as giving us an evaluation of our programs and helping us evaluate our apps and eliminate any duplication and helping us find more efficient programs to achieve our needs.  The response time for an IT person to return a call is very short I would say 15 minutes or less most of the time.  If Philantech3 is unable to fix the issue remotely they will send a person up to our office the same day or the next day.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have complete faith with the security system  Philantech3 has in place and they review our needs and the effectiveness of the current program.  We have a tech company that is there to help us when we need it.  They also provide recommendations when it comes to our computer and program needs. We have been a long term customer and will continue to use them.

Philantech3 has always responded promptly and efficiently. I have had great support for IT help , as well as quarterly meetings to discuss our future needs as well as make sure our current needs are being met.  Philantech3 staff go above and beyond to service their clients needs.  I think very highly of the staff,

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Will the owner has created a company with staff that reflect his values regarding customers and support.  Will took us on as a client when most all of the clients at the time were much bigger companies.  We have always gotten the best customer service and when you talk with a tech they go above and beyond to help and bring about a successful outcome to the issue.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Philantech3 could have done differently?

I honestly don't have any idea's for improvement at this time.  I agree everyone has room for improvement but that is one of the things philantech is always striving to improve.
