I’m the owner of Mangieri Law LLC, a law firm.

What challenge were you trying to address with PaySmart?

I needed a company that could provide me with payroll services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I use PaySmart for my payroll. They have their own hub that I use and view reports through. They’ve been very helpful in explaining how to structure my payroll effectively to keep my costs down. They’ve also guided me through what I needed to do to be compliant with the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue and the IRS in terms of my tax withholdings. They’ve also filled out federal and state forms for income tax, employment tax, and unemployment tax on my behalf and taught me how to develop the benefits package for my employees as a small business.

How did you come to work with PaySmart?

PaySmart was recommended to me by my personal accountant.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent around $300 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

PaySmart has saved me a lot of time. I’ve never run a business before, so I had no idea how to deal with taxes and reporting entities like the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue and the IRS. In the beginning, they saved me at least 5 hours’ worth of work trying to get up to speed and learn all that stuff. Since then, they've saved me a few hours every month just to not have to worry about those things because they handle them for me.

How did PaySmart perform from a project management standpoint?

PaySmart has performed well in terms of project management. We typically communicate through email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

PaySmart is knowledgeable, talented, and willing to help. They’re focused on helping small businesses, which was definitely something that attracted me to them. They recognize the challenges that small business face and understand that most small business owners are not well-versed in the financial aspects of taxes and payroll and all of the requirements that come with those. Their rates are very competitive as well.

I also appreciate how incredibly accommodating they are and how easy it is to work with them. They were very willing to hold my hand at the beginning to help me figure out everything. They’re focused on client service and availability to answer any questions that I have. They’re also great at explaining what they offer and providing suggestions on how I might structure things differently in order to make sure that everything goes smoothly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, everything has been smooth.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to take them up on their offer to meet in person because they are very willing to understand your business and get a good global sense of what it is that you're looking to do with your business and where you want to go in the future.
