Valla Rogers graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a B.S. degree in Textiles, Clothing, and Environmental Arts. After further study at The Rhode Island School of Design, Valla began her design career in 1984. She is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers.
Lucy Findlay attended Salem College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she majored in English and developed a strong interest in decorative arts. She started her business in Dover in 1978.Valla and Lucy merged their talents in 1988 to form Partners in Design.
