My organization is called DLBLF Financial Counseling, and I'm the owner and operator of the company. We help people get their houses ready, buy homes, and create generational wealth.

What challenge were you trying to address with Parker Stanbury, LLP?

I am in the finance and credit repair sector, where there's the risk for a chargeback. It's an industry where people are constantly either very happy or very underwhelmed with the results. It's good to have legal assistance; someone you can talk to and who can look over your contracts. So, we hired Parker Stanbury, LLP to help us with legal services, information, advice, and documentation.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Currently, they're doing my registered trademark with the US Patent Office. My business is already registered with the state, but I'm now in the practice of legally owning my name. They got me a registered lawyer that specializes in patents and my life has been very simple.

They’ve also done my contract review and conducted a cyber threat security scan. They offer a security scan to make sure that your website is safe and see if anyone's stalking and trying to hack you.

What is the team composition?

I work closely with three people from the Parker Stanbury, LLP team — two paralegals and an attorney.

How did you come to work with Parker Stanbury, LLP?

They were referred to me by a friend, who previously availed of their services. They were also affordable because the other firms that I looked up and tried to work with were priced around $3,500–$3,800, which is beyond our budget.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we have spent a little less than $1,500 on personal and business expenses. We also have an agreement, where I pay them $100 a month.

What is the status of the engagement?

We began working together in April 2021, and it's still an ongoing partnership.

As a business owner and entrepreneur, there are things that I’m not aware of from a legal standpoint, and they’ve been able to clarify them for me — they're very thorough and knowledgeable about the law. Overall, we’ve seen great results from their services, and they’ve exceeded my expectations.

They’ve managed the project well. They always update me about the project status and daily deliverables throughout the process. We usually communicate over regular phone calls, email, Slack, and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive?

Their accuracy and swift responses are amazing. Most law firms take forever to get back to you or try to upsell you on things, but it’s the opposite with Parker Stanbury, LLP — they always get back to us quickly and help resolve whatever problems we have. Their services are also very affordable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing that they need to improve on. I feel like they're already doing everything that they can and are doing a good job with their current business model.

If you need legal advice, talk to them. Not too many people are aware of how good they really are.
