ClaimWe Just Happen to Make the Best Damn Boat Trailers
Our Story
In 1971, Roger Treichler rented a commercial building in Newark, CA and started to build boat trailers. As an avid boater, he saw a real need for a trailer that could hold up to the harsh saltwater environment. At the time, there were mostly painted steel trailers being sold. Great for fresh water, not so great for salt! Recognizing this, he started building hot-dipped galvanized trailers that would stand up to the salt. This simple concept quickly caught on and soon Pacific Trailers became the trailer of choice for many local boat manufacturers and dealers. Although initially, the company was small, he strongly believed in its potential and knew that with perseverance, it would ultimately be successful.
In 2015, Roger passed the torch to his daughter and her husband, Jeff Ash. Jeff has both an academic and a business background, bringing fresh, new ideas to Pacific Trailers with the singular goal of better serving our customers. In Jeff's spare time, he enjoys boating off the Southern California Coast with his family.
In 2016, Pacific Trailers launched a new product, the Pacific I-Line trailer. The I-Line is a commercial grade, aluminum I-Beam trailer. Its success in the market has been astounding, as the I-Line has firmly established itself as a dominant force in the boat trailer industry.
Also in 2016, Pacific Trailers focused on lean manufacturing, which centers around growing the product quality while keeping prices low. From 2015-2017, at a time when others were raising their prices, Pacific Trailers passed no price increases off to its customers, simply by manufacturing trailers smoother and smarter.
In 2017, Pacific Trailers launched an all-new online store, making transactions from every device faster and easier in an effort to better serve our customers and the latest technology.
As a member of the California Manufacturers & Technology Association, Pacific Trailers is committed to the local economy as well as that of California.
