I’m the head of operations at Clutch.co; we’re a ratings and reviews company.

What challenge were you trying to address with OTJ ARCHITECTS?

We were looking to move from our old office space to a new one.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

OTJ ARCHITECTS has been helping us to provide mockups of several options to reimagine our new space with some architectural floor plans. They’ll start by taking the amount of square footage of the place we’re moving into, understanding our current headcount and the one we believe we’re going to within a certain timeframe, and learning our preference regarding the required offices and cubicle spaces.

Regarding our requests, we’re looking for a startup feel that’s also functional for our staff when they have to make calls and do general work without being too distracting.

Basically, the OTJ ARCHITECTS’ team is taking all of the objective and subjective information to create a handful of prospective architectural layouts for our new office space.

We’ve mainly worked with Samantha (Associate) since we started our partnership with them.

They were referred to us.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent $25,000–$50,000 with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2019, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

OTJ ARCHITECTS has been able to strike the right balance to help our team get a combination of collaborative and personal working space so our staff can remain productive. Overall, they’re a realistic and professional team trustworthy in managing my expectations and coordinating everything across multiple subcontractors and construction companies.

How did OTJ ARCHITECTS perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management has been excellent; they’ve been professional and asked all the right questions. Their team is also mindful of our timelines and budgets, making it easy to work with them. In addition to that, they’ve also been impeccable, flexible, responsive, and attentive to details.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They do a great job finding a middle ground between our expectations and our needs; they always provide a variety of budgeting that can go into new things. In particular, Sam is great at finding the right balance of high quality and good pricing for what we need.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve at this point.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Try to work with Sam; OTJ is a large firm, but Sam is excellent. Overall, learning how to work with your team and mesh with them is important.
