Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the President and CEO of a pre-launch Cloud based SaaS platform. Our company is named AFITD. We are pre-launch, so our full name is not been publicized yet. We intend to launch in February 2022.

For what projects/services did your company hire Ossmium?

We hired Ossmium to establish our UI/UX from the ground up in a way that can accommodate growth/scale. We needed the design to be modern, but relatable and most importantly provide the user with an intuitive UI that does not take training to use.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

After an exhaustive search, Ossmium stood out to me and their portfolio of projects showed that they could design very compelling and user friendly dashboards and screen layouts. Also, Ossmium was versed in 'Material UI Design', which is the agreed upon design principles that me and my partners selected. This made them very attractive.

My final decision was based on my discussions with Irina. When I asked her about their design approach, her responses were methodical and showed that there was a process to their work and that is important in order to obtain consistent outcomes. From the first deliverable, I was impressed and knew that we selected the right team!

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The outcomes at every step of this project was successful and I truly believe that was due to a clear and open 'feedback loop' that was established. I would always provide inputs for the design (conceptually) and Alex would provide the designs and I would provide feedback for updates. It does not matter how talented you are if you do not listen to your customer and have good communication.

We had excellent communication and response times throughout the entire project. We just finished a 1.5 year project with Ossmium! Our entire platform was designed by this team, we are very pleased and we believe that this platform will be very impactful once deployed live.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication was the primary reason why we were able to work with Ossmium for 17 months and still have a great rapport! We communicated via Slack and managed the milestones and project funding via Upwork.

There was only one or two occasions where there may have been a small lapse in communication and then we came to know that there was a national holiday that I was not aware of and that makes perfect sense and was totally fine. I am a Project Manager by trade, so communication is important to me and it was equally as important to Ossmium.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were very fair and had very good business manners. I never got the sense that they were just out to make as much money as they could. you can tell by the estimation process and how long execution took based on the estimates. Alex always stayed within his estimates and stood behind his work and would make updates if issues were identified later that needed resolution.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Honestly, it was a really positive engagement with Ossmium from start to finish. I highly recommend them. In my opinion, our platform will be perceived as a first rate operation due to the professional design work from Ossmium.

We decided to start from the product style based on the dashboard page. When the dashboard was approved by our team we continue working on other pages

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Together with Ossmium we created an awesome product and we are planning to launch it early next year.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We communicated with the designer directly and this made our communication process really productive. The high and low fidelity prototypes were created in agreed time. Sources + zeplin files we received in time too

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their experience and ability to solve problems are notable.

Are there any areas for improvement?

yes, I think it would be really good if this team could provide development services too. So we could implement the design with their help too. Unfortunately, they suggested only design services
