Online Transcription Services was started in 2006 by Naomi & David in response to the trend of professionals migrating to digital dictation devices.
The inefficiency of the existing process where armies of 'WP Operators' and transcriptionists would physically travel to and from the CBD's on a daily basis was obvious.
Often these jobs were 'out of hours' so they could accomodate next-day turnaround while at the same time making better use of limited and expensive CBD real estate. However, this created additional costs by way of night time security and supervision along with things like cab fare reimbursement for late finishing shifts.
David & Naomi quickly realised that the transition to digital recording presented an opportunity to remove the proximity limitations imposed by cassette based recordings and Online Transcription Services was born.
