Our product had outgrown its infrastructure. Everything ran on a single server: QR scanning lagged daily under production load, we saw roughly 12% downtime during shift changes — exactly when scanning volume peaks — and we were overspending about $28K a month on over-provisioned capacity just to compensate for instability. We needed the platform rebuilt without pausing a live, revenue-carrying system.

OmniMinds put a five-person pod of AWS-certified engineers on it. They re-architected us onto AWS EKS with Kafka for event streaming, OpenSearch, and all infrastructure defined in Terraform. The migration was completed in about three months with zero disruption to our production customers.  We've had 100% uptime for over six months since the migration. Cloud costs dropped 35% — about $132K a year. Defect detection got 40% faster, and we scaled our camera fleet from 10 to 50 devices without the platform blinking.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The seniority of the team for the price. Everyone on the pod could reason about the whole system, not just their piece. They also use their own AI agents in delivery, which showed in the speed — but a human architect reviewed everything that mattered.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Omniminds Consulting could have done differently?

Early technical documentation was written engineer-to-engineer; I asked for an executive-level summary and they adjusted immediately. That's about the only note I have.
