I’m a communications director for a consumer packaged goods company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with O’Malley Hansen Communications?

We needed to do some work around diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I), so we engaged O’Malley Hansen Communications to help with our internal communications.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

During our partnership, O’Malley Hansen Communications supported us with two projects. For the first project, they helped us with the grand opening event for one of our manufacturing plants. They took care of all the media coverage, including TV, radio, and newspaper outlets. Additionally, they helped us communicate with the governor’s office to ensure the governor attended the event. 

They also worked with us to pool our internal DE&I initiatives into the newsletter for employees to read. The team conducted interviews and was responsible for writing, editing, and laying out the newsletter.

We worked with three team members from O’Malley Hansen Communications, including the founder and two associates. 

How did you come to work with O’Malley Hansen Communications? 

I had worked with O’Malley Hansen Communications in my past industry.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested up to $50,000 in the partnership with O’Malley Hansen Communications.

What is the status of this engagement?

O’Malley Hansen Communications helped us with the grand opening of our manufacturing plant in December 2021, and we worked on the DE&I newsletter in April 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

For the grand opening, the O’Malley Hansen Communications team delivered good results, and we were pleased with the amount of media coverage we received. Additionally, our employees were excited about the DE&I newsletter they created, and we received positive feedback. 

How did O’Malley Hansen Communications perform from a project management standpoint?

O’Malley Hansen Communications did a great job managing our projects. They delivered work on time and within budget. We primarily met via phone and face-to-face. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their biggest strength was their ability to think as big or small as we wanted. We gave them our budget and they came back to us with great ideas for how to best utilize it. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing O’Malley Hansen Communications could improve on. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Although O’Malley Hansen Communications is based in St.Louis, I recommend thinking of them as a national firm because they have employees across the US. Their media contacts are nationwide.
