As a result of ODL Agency’s work, the client saw an increase in social media engagement as the brand identity was much stronger. The team at ODL was timely in their delivery and was always willing to go the extra mile for their work.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I work for the London Office of Technology and Innovation which is a public sector organization. I’m the strategy engagement manager.
What challenges were you trying to address with ODL Agency?
When we started, our only branding material was a logo. I wanted to create a more robust digital identity.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We worked with them to build off our logo to create a brand. They created branding guidelines based off the logo, drawing from the color scheme and fonts.
What is the team composition?
I worked with Abraham (Partner & Creative Director) and George (Lead Designer).
How did you come to work with ODL Agency?
I did an online search. I spoke with several designers, but ODL gave the most competitive rates and understood our project.
How much have you invested in them?
We spent a little less than £3,000 (approximately $4,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together in October 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We were able to use the branding guidelines for several presentations that we had. It helped us improve our social media presence as well. We have more followers online because we were able to establish ourselves more clearly.
How did ODL Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
They did really well. We had regular online meetings, and they shared weekly progress updates. Everything was delivered on time. However, we didn’t establish a clear project schedule, which is something that I wish we could have done.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They brought our vision to life. It’s clear they understood our brief. They went the extra mile and stood out from other vendors in the space. The pace of delivery didn’t slow down after we signed the contract.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I wish we would’ve established a more clear project timeline. I felt like sometimes I had to chase after them to get things because it wasn’t clear when tasks would be completed.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Give them a chance. They’re a smaller organization, but they make up for it with the work they deliver, and they’re very hands-on.
