Novus Labs is an engineering services, testing, and certification company headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon. Founded in 2008, we help device makers and technology companies take products from early development through full system validation and certification.
Our work spans three areas. Engineering and product development covers hardware design, software and firmware, AI integration, and custom test tools. Test and validation covers interoperability, wireless connectivity, audio, displays, sensors, environmental, and electrical validation. Compliance and certification includes our role as a Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) Authorized Test Lab for Matter, along with support for USB, SATA, Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, HDMI, and DisplayPort programs.
What sets us apart is our purpose‑built Hillsboro facility. It houses one of the industry's largest interoperability device libraries, RF‑shielded chambers, audio chambers, and furnished residential test homes where products are exercised in real‑world smart home conditions rather than only on a benchtop. That breadth lets us reproduce the environments and device combinations your customers actually use.
We work with device makers and technology companies of all sizes, from startups to large enterprises, through scope‑based projects, dedicated teams, or managed testing programs run as an extension of your engineering group. Novus also provides engineering staffing and government contracting services.
