Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the senior multimedia producer for Raising Cane’s. We’re an international quick-serve restaurant company with about 450 locations worldwide.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with NolaVid?

We hired NolaVid to capture video content for internal use on an as-needed basis.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Their team creates internal communication pieces, including videos of our founder and CEO. They capture the footage at different locations and edit the videos occasionally as well. Generally, they provide us with raw footage and we cut them down to about 1–2 minute long videos. 

We use them for between 6–10 shoots every year. For example, one video they captured for us centered around an annual fried chicken festival in New Orleans that we were sponsoring. Every year, their team attends for us and spends about eight hours capturing various types of footage, including B-roll, interviews, and highlights. 

What is the team composition?

We’ve primarily worked with Max (Owner & Director, NolaVid) and 2–3 others from his team throughout the engagement. 

How did you come to work with NolaVid?

I found NolaVid through their website. At the time, we needed someone who could shoot something in New Orleans, so we gave them a chance. It was intended to be a one-off project, but we ended up continuing that relationship into the future because they’ve been so reliable for us. When we need footage, they’re one of the first people we reach out to. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $8,000–$10,000 per year with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve had an ongoing relationship since August 2017. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Everyone has been pleased with the content we receive from NolaVid, which makes our jobs much easier. We’ve never had a bad situation working with them. 

How did NolaVid perform from a project management standpoint?

Max and his team are fantastic. I love working with them. Every time I interact with their team, they’re responsive and easy to work with. It’s great to have a point of contact on their team, too, so that people in the field can communicate with them. The footage is turned around quickly and we’ve never had a problem collaborating with them. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Max has been great to work with. Their team bends over backward to make sure they’re delivering what we ask for—they’re a great partner. All the right questions are asked without too many being asked. They always come in under budget, too. We really appreciate the work they do. 

Their flexibility and professionalism also stand out. I know I can hire them and not worry about their interactions with the people we have in the field. I know they’re going to treat our internal team the right way, which is a big thing for me since we can’t be there in person. They truly focus on providing great client service. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’ve honestly been very happy, so I have nothing for them to improve on. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you’re interested in working with them, absolutely hire them. They know what they’re doing and will deliver the product the right way. You don’t need to give them a lot of direction to get the job done.
