Moreover, they set up a system to spot possible fraud by studying data from in-game transactions and the market. We completed and offered the company a detailed report outlining threats, the anti-cheat system itself, integration APIs, dashboards for use by the monitoring and moderation teams and documentation for in-house use. Alongside, they tested the system and joined forces with our QA team to push the system over different limits.

NIPSAPP run in to our internal teams in the early stages of the project to understand the core components of our PC game and to determine the best way to put them into a mobile format. We also had them develop prototypes which put forward what we saw as key features in the mobile version of the game such as touch based controls, simplified menus, and social sharing. Once the prototypes were given the green light we moved into full scale development which saw us create high quality graphics that were optimized for mobile devices, code in interactive elements, and at the same time we worked to achieve smooth cross platform compatibility.

What really made their service stand out was there focus on performance optimization. They used in --game techniques to reduce load times and improve frame rates which in turn made the game run very well on mid range devices. Also they put in advanced features like real time multi player matchmaking, push notifications for events, and a secure in app purchase system. We delivered a fully functional mobile app that was compatible with both iOS and Android, we also gave out very detailed documentation which went in to how each feature worked and we put in place a very robust back end infrastructure to support real time interactions.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Upon release of our mobile version of the game we saw a large increase in downloads and active users which in particular included younger audiences that are into mobile gaming. Players reported that they loved the easy touch controls, bright visuals, and smooth multiplayer action which we noted also brought out the best of the original PC game at the same time as presenting a new and easy go to experience.

Not only did we grow our audience but we also saw increased player retention and longer play sessions. We also attracted a larger audience which in turn brought in more income. Internally we saw the introduction of more efficient work flows and better infrastructure which in term allowed us to put more into future projects. This project made us leaders in the gaming industry which in turn opened up to us partnerships and collaborations we didn’t have before.

NIPSAPP did an excellent job in project management through out the collaboration. We saw strict adherence to timelines, in many cases we got our milestones before the scheduled date. When we had issues which included trade off between performance and visual quality they had open lines of communication and put forth creative solutions to get us back on track. Also they were very responsive to our needs which included fine tuning features based on our input and also we asked for more training for our team on the new systems which they provided. They went the extra mile to see that we were completely satisfied.

• At a pivotal point we sought to break out of the box of what we were doing by weaved artificial intelligence and augmented reality/virtual reality into our main game. Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Our work began with a large discovery phase in which we ran workshops with our internal team at NIPSAPP to determine the base elements of our game and to identify what areas of AI and AR/VR we could improve in. For the AI we developed very complex algorithms which improved NPC decision making which in turn made characters react in real time to player action and environment change. This added a layer of chance and reality which greatly enhanced the game play. 

In the AR/VR we put together immersive environments that players could interact with using VR headsets or AR enabled mobile devices. We designed in features like gesture based controls, spatial audio and real world object integration for the AR modes. Also we developed an AR companion app for iOS and Android which gave players access to hidden content and location based challenges thus adding a new layer to play. 

We delivered fully functional AI powered NPC behavior models, VR game play modes which worked with top of the range platforms like Oculus and PlayStation VR, an AR companion app for iOS and Android and in depth documentation which went into how each feature fit into the wider game system.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The outcomes of the project were transformative for our company. Within weeks of launching the updated version of our game with AI and AR/VR features, we observed a noticeable increase in player engagement and retention. Gamers praised the lifelike NPC interactions powered by AI, noting how it made the game feel more challenging and rewarding. Similarly, the AR/VR components received glowing feedback for their seamless integration and ability to transport players into the game world.

NIPSAPP did very well in terms of project management during our collaboration. We saw strict adherence to timelines, in many cases we got our milestones ahead of what was planned. At the points when we had issues like with the balance between AI performance and frame rate, we had open communication and they put forth creative solutions which kept the project moving forward. In terms of response to our needs, it was outstanding; from fine tuning a feature based on our input to running in-house training sessions for our team on the care and maintenance of the new systems, they went above and beyond to see that we were happy.
