Newsom Gonzalez

Newsom Gonzalez is an Environmental Graphic Design studio located in Los Angeles. Owners Carol Newsom and Lucy Gonzalez directly manage all projects. Our award-winning work is a result of our ability to understand and interpret the challenges of the project, the needs of the users and the dynamics of the design and client team. The studio's capacity includes wayfinding analysis, building, and open-space sign programs, print and project identity design, display graphics, and interactive media—all the parts necessary to create a sense of place and shape a project's unique identity. Our client list includes urban and retail centers, schools, community/nonprofit groups, and architectural firms.

The studio has won merit awards from the Society of Environmental Graphic Design, gold awards from the Healthcare Marketing Report, The Council for Advancement & Support of Education (CASE), International Association of Business Communicators (San Francisco), Public Relations Society of America (LA Chapter) and the California Travel and Tourism Commission as well as commendations from Printing Industries of America and the American Institute of Graphic Arts. Work has been published in SEGDdesign; Guide Sign Graphics (Japan); Print Magazine, Graphis, Typographic i and Graphic Design America Two.
