What challenge were you trying to address with Newmat India?

We wanted a ceiling for the kid’s play area in a club.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They designed a space fabric ceiling for the kid’s play area in one of our complexes. For the space fabric, Newmat made clouds and the sun. It is like an artificial architectural feature for our roof ceiling.

What is the team composition?

We were working with 4–5 people. Our main point of contact was the contractor.

How did you come to work with Newmat India?

We had previously worked with them on other projects, so we reached out to them again.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about 5 million Indian rupees (approximately $67,000 USD) with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from June–December 2019.

We're happy with the results of their work.

How did Newmat India perform from a project management standpoint?

They completed the work in the given timeline. Communication was typically through phone calls and emails.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Company-wise, Newmat India is good; Mr. Todi (Owner) is very knowledgeable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should use more skilled and technical people. Also, there was no support from any expert from their team.

I’m the deputy manager for a car manufacturing company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Newmat India?

We have a delivery area where we use a stretchable ceiling.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Newmat India is one of our stretchable ceilings suppliers. They come onsite, install the LED modules inside the box, and install the stretchable ceiling fabric imported from Germany. The light has a unique element in our special room that highlights our car below the stretchable ceiling.

What is the team composition?

There’s a team of 4–5 people for the installation part. Then there’s an office team of 2–3 people to coordinate with the dealer regarding the payment and order.

How did you come to work with Newmat India?

I knew them through my senior colleague. They were an approved vendor for the fabric, and members of our team reached out to them.

How much have you invested with them?

We invest $3–$4 million Indian Rupees (approximately $40,400–$54,000 USD) with them every year.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2015, and the project is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their product is good, they deliver on time, and their response time is great. They immediately solve our issues through excellent after-sale service and customer support.

How did Newmat India perform from a project management standpoint?

They met all the deadlines. We communicate via WhatsApp and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their turnaround times of delivery and resolving of issues are impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’d recommend them to do the manufacturing in India because the importation costs are high, and we want to support the India initiative as well.
