Yes, exceed our expectations and were flexible when our company had to make a pivot during the project. The product manager and UX/UI specialist were both highly talented in their roles and welcoming individuals. The project management team provide clear instructions on what to expect during the engagement and kept a clear timeline on the project goals and key goals through out the process.

The communication is outstanding. We wanted to work with a firm that had the ability to community with our leadership team who is bilingual. NewCombin was able to work with both our English and Spanish-speaking team members without a problem. We were able to troubleshoot together in both English and Spanish.

From the first kick-off meeting, it was very clear to our leadership team that Newcombin took the time to understand our industry and problem. The research they did in our industry allowed both our teams to have great discussions and make decisions together to elevate the deliverables for our project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something NewCombin could have done differently?

None. As the President and lead for Daily View Pools II am having hard thinking of any areas NewCombin could improve. Newcombi did a fantastic job in our project and we look forward to continuing to work with their team.

We had a two-phased project for our website, and we engaged them for it.

The first phase of the project was an update of our website’s UI/UX design, and the second one was the development phase. NewCombin was in charge of the design phase. They also coded the site’s basic layout. The team used Figma for the designs and HTML for the coding tasks.

NewCombin created an agile and user-friendly way of browsing the website, which allowed us to structure our content the way we wanted. In other words, the website was transformed from chaotic to having a well-planned navigation route based on research and an understanding of our users.

They met deadlines and adjusted to our needs and schedules. On top of that, the team adapted well to our project management tools, including SharePoint. We had meetings using Teams and mainly communicated via email.

We were impressed by NewCombin’s understanding of their clients and focus on providing the solutions requested. They had their own methodologies but were great at finding ways that worked the best for both parties.

The quality of their design work could be improved on a detailed level. It was already good, but everything could be improved.

We hired NewCombin when we were positioned in an extremely difficult situation as we had a provider before which was a complete disaster and also threatened us to keep our source code after so much hard work. So initially they were the ones that accompanied us throught the entire migration process from the previous provider to a new server.

They were extremely collaborative, they re-assured us even though we didn't understand all the specific techincalities. After that, we continued working together as they proved to be an excellent and professional company, delivering on time and working as a team on each step. Now we are currently developing our sprint 3 with them, adding funcionalities to our website. We are also working on a UX/UI project to improve our website and also on new sections.

We had invested a lot of time and money and had obtained really bad results with our former provider. So we were basically searching for someone we could trust. In particular because as we are not techinicians and don't know anything specifically on programming, it tends to be easy to "mislead" any client when it comes to proper cost and expected output. Initial phase: Migration of the website from former's provider platform to new one hosted with AWS. Monitored the transition and the completeness of the source code transferred. Technology: Framework Javascript Vue.js. Second phase: Implemented several upgrades to the current website, corrected bugs, guaranteed the correct use of the platform. Third phase: UX/UI redesign, new upgrade phase and implementation of new pages within the website.

We have 2 people working constantly with us, that follow us each week through weekly meetings. They are the project managers, and translate our requests to the developers and are in charge of the following up of the work.

NewCombin has developed the frontend of our platform almost from scratch using React. Our CTO had already done a lot of the backend development work beforehand, as well as a small part of the frontend development work, so they joined to support our in-house technology team.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The clearest indicator of our engagement’s success is the fact that we’re still working with NewCombin. We’re very happy with their work, so we continue choosing them as our development partners. During a 3–4-months period, we stopped working with them to work with an in-house developer, but we noticed that NewCombin was more efficient. Although they were more expensive, they were also more efficient, so we brought them again.

How did NewCombin perform from a project management standpoint?

NewCombin meets their deadlines and stays on budget. We have weekly sprints, and after two years of working with them, we know how much we can get done each sprint cycle. We use Discord, Trello, Miro, Figma, and Google Drive as our communication, project management, and collaboration tools.

NewCombin is very open to feedback. Additionally, they have a broad team with many different skills.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We change projects every one or two months, so it would be good if NewCombin changed the dedicated team members for our different projects. Initially, the project manager was not that involved in the project, but we let them know, and the issue was corrected.

In order to be efficient, you need to clearly define what you want so that they can assign the most appropriate resources to your project.
