**Making NEW Possible**
NEWaukee began in 2009 by a group of friends hosting gatherings for people new to the city of Milwaukee. Encouraged to create bigger and better experiences, we began hosting engaging events that showcased the city and drew audiences of thousands.

Companies took notice and started asking how NEWaukee could help them build that same sense of belonging for their brands.

Over the past decade, we’ve applied our engagement methodology to help leading brands better engage their people.

## Portfolio & Awards

### ART 64 | Discover Wauwatosa
Wauwatosa is located immediately west of Milwaukee, and is a part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. It is named after the Potawatomi Chief Wauwataesie and the Potawatomi word for firefly.
Discover Wauwatosa is the city’s tourism initiative, helping to bring guests into the area and ensuring they have a fun and memorable experience during their stay.
Discover Wauwatosa is establishing itself as a world-class destination for the arts. The city’s previous art activations included the Magic Murals, a seven-part mural art installation that can be seen along the North Avenue corridor in the North Mural Arts District, also known as “NoMAD.”
Discover Wauwatosa was looking for an experience that would build upon these previous initiatives while making a public splash and bringing guests from around the country to the city.
Since 2022, NEWaukee has planned and hosted an annual festival called ART 64, a two-day bracket-style tournament in The Village of Wauwatosa for a $20,000 grand prize.
Artists are paired head-to-head and given a limited amount of time to create a work of art on a predetermined theme. The audience votes for their favorite artists to advance and all paintings created are placed on sale after the rounds end.
The event brings in diverse, nationwide artists and attendees and highlights local Wauwatosa businesses.
Results:
8,000+ attendees over two days
• 64 participating artists
• Attendees from 41 US states and 12 countries
• 6 million impressions
• 75K total website page visits (2022-2023)
• Earned media coverage in 9 media outlets
• 5,320 emails collected for retargeting
• Thousands of dollars in estimated economic impact

### Baird | Engagement Consulting
Since 1919, Baird has offered trusted financial advice and services to individuals, families and institutions around the world. With more than 4,500 associates, Baird commits to providing an inclusive and diverse environment for all team members to thrive.
As part of its culture of inclusion and diversity strategy, Baird established an Associate Resource Group (ARG) program with seven distinct offerings.
Baird approached NEWaukee to build upon its existing program. The firm sought to develop their leaders, engage ARG members and volunteers, and align the strategies of the ARGs to their firmwide goals.
NEWaukee designed and produced a custom, full-day immersive and interactive leadership summit for ARG co-chairs and their executive sponsors to have an opportunity to learn best practices together and to set new goals and strategic plans for the upcoming year. Additionally, this summit provided an opportunity for incoming chairs to be onboarded and involved in the planning process six months prior to the official leadership transition.
Co-chairs participated in multiple interactive team building activities that forged new relationships and candor between ARG leadership teams. Fast-paced and hands-on workshops allowed for shared learning and action planning with custom worksheets and resource guides with best practices for ARGs.
Results:
Generated 1,608 new leads to retarget for talent acquisition
• Content received over 73,802 social media impressions
• Attracted attendees from 10 countries and more than 30 US states
• Created engagement among current internal Kohler Co. associates
During the COVID-19 pandemic, NEWaukee pivoted The Shift to a virtual format while sustaining attendance on-par with pre-pandemic results. NEWaukee also designed and produced further public DEI programs for Kohler Co. called Leading Courageous Conversations.

### Black Minds Matter
Black Minds Matter (BMM) is a national movement to celebrate Black minds, support excellence, and promote the development of high-quality school options for Black students. BMM is connecting a national community of Black school founders and leaders, so they can come together for fellowship and professional growth.
BMM was looking to engage Black school founders and to support their unique professional communities by building individual connections amongst like-minded peers, creating access to educational resources, and promoting the educational freedom and parent empowerment movement in schools and communities. This made us the perfect partners: NEWaukee builds diverse, vibrant communities and the experiences that bring them to life.
Since January 2022, NEWaukee has managed BMM’s engagement initiatives directly. This includes engaging Black School Founders and creating graphic design, organic and paid social media, event coordination and production, community outreach, and network management.
Results from the National Black Founders Network:
• 104 members in the National Black Founders Network
• 7 new podcasts added to asset library featuring school founders in 3 regions
• 160+ increase in Facebook followers
• Hosted 70+ attendees at inaugural National Black Founders Summit hosted in Atlanta, Georgia, which included representatives from the oldest Black-owned school in the United States of America and nationally recognized speakers such as Dr. Steve Perry.
