I was the former director of marketing at a B2B media company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with NetLine Corporation?

We were struggling with the content syndication program that we ran. We brought on NetLine to help us syndicate content for a larger audience.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, they helped with getting leads. We would submit all of our different whitepapers and content into the NetLine system. Then, they syndicated them on all of their own publishing partner platforms and websites.

Additionally, we worked with them to build a content library on our website. When people came to our site, they would actually be directed to a NetLine hosted form. They designed it so it looked exactly like our website. All I had to do was submit all of the content that we wanted to get into the library. They had a whole customer service team that made sure all of those pieces were coded into their system.

What is the team composition?

We work with one account manager and one developer.

How much have you invested with them?

The average cost per lead was $30–$40. We tried to keep our spend around $30,000–$40,000 per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2018, and I left the company in March 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The first month that our content library was up we already made $500 and it steadily increased from there.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their customer service really stood out. They were quick to respond, which matters when everything is so technical. The team is very helpful and hands-on.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Managing the costs was difficult in the beginning. It was very surprising how much the syndication cost, especially in the first month. Maybe they could have set that expectation upfront so we could plan accordingly.
