I’m the owner of SAV-ON Flooring, a flooring company based in Alaska.

What challenge were you trying to address with Myriad Marketing Strategies?

We hired Myriad Marketing Strategies for digital marketing purposes.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Myriad helped us create commercials and time-lapse videos for our website.

What is the team composition?

I worked with three people from Myriad on this project: Laurie (CEO) and two cameramen.

How did you come to work with Myriad Marketing Strategies?

Myriad was recommended to us by a friend of mine.

How much have you invested with them?

We did a barter. Myriad needed floors for their studio, and we needed the videos. The project had a value close to $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from October–November 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The quality of the deliverables was good, and the team had excellent communication. Myriad created a good time-lapse video, and we used it on our website at that time. However, when we compared it to other time-lapse videos, ours wasn’t as good as we anticipated that it would be. The quality of the video wasn’t excellent, but it was caused by the staff that Laurie was working with. She doesn’t work with them anymore.

How did Myriad Marketing Strategies perform from a project management standpoint?

Myriad's project management was excellent. Laurie was very thorough, and everything she set up for the project was great. It was the technicians, who came to do the shooting, the ones that didn’t meet her standards. She had to reformulate her company because those staff members weren’t the right fit for Myriad.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Laurie’s delivery, sales, and innovative thinking were impressive. She had a great understanding of her business, and she carried the project out. She was genuinely wonderful to work with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I recommended Myriad to get new technicians, and they did. I assume they’re now where they needed to be.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Work directly with Laurie and ask for three technicians qualified by her. It’ll be better if there is a way to look at the technicians’ work prior to starting your project. That was the mistake we made: neither Laurie nor I asked to see videos of the technicians’ work.
