Muxa helped with product design collaborating directly with our engineering and product teams helping define, design and suport development of full features.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Muxa was able to augment our engineering team, essentially serving as our in house design team.  They helped increase the quality and velocity of released features.

Muxa seemlessly integrated into our existing tooling and workflows.  Jen was fantastic at overseeing the project and ensuring everything stayed on track if not ahead of schedule.

Muxa was particularly adept at meeting us where we were at.  They quickly ramped up on our product, customer use cases and objectives.  They were able to not just be a visual designer, but a product thought partner.

Honestly, no.  They were fantastic.

MUXA Design Studio delivered a conversational UX for agents. We accepted their project work, and everybody liked the designs, so we implemented them in our project.

MUXA Design Studio has provided Figma designs based on our product requirements. The team has delivered wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. We also have weekly meetings to discuss project details.

We’ve released a new product with MUXA's help, and the internal feedback and demos have been very positive.

MUXA Design Studio consistently delivers on time. Our primary form of communication is virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps. They are willing to be flexible on timing and work to accommodate changes in our priorities.

What did you find most impressive about them?

MUXA Design Studio is exceedingly pleasant to work with and does well with limited supervision. The team’s ability to help us think through ill-defined problems and propose elegant solutions is impressive.

We needed help launching a new product in the market and vastly improving its original MVP's UX/UI and design system.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

MUXA Design Studio created wireframes, prototypes, and designs. The team also conducted user interviews and usability testing. MUXA Design Studio focused on creating and collaborating on the jobs-to-be-done definition, validating assumptions through user testing, building wireframes for additional collaboration with the product and engineering teams, creating prototypes for additional user validation and collaboration, and then creating final designs for implementation in the app.

We found them through a referral. We chose them because they had a sterling recommendation from a designer whose work I respect and opinion I trust.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from April to August 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

MUXA Design Studio helped us launch the product in the market and increase user satisfaction and KPIs for their own workflow as well as for our app, including active engagement. We measured the improvements in user satisfaction and retention through surveys, interviews, and site analytics. The team also helped us improve user time savings, user satisfaction, active users in the app, and user retention.

How did MUXA Design Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

MUXA Design Studio's project management was a great mix of being very detailed, thorough, and reliable while also being flexible enough to take on new work as it became prioritized, juggle a bunch of different projects at the same time, and propose new work. We primarily communicated via Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

MUXA Design Studio's great attitude and high-quality designs were impressive. The team didn't need a lot of management.

I’m the VP of marketing at Afficiency. We provide a fully digital platform for life insurance, enabling distributors and carriers to quickly offer, design, and launch easy-to-understand life insurance products.

We needed support with the UX design of various digital portals that support our life insurance platform.

What was the scope of their involvement?

MUXA Design Studio has transformed our briefs and mockups into functional UX designs. The team has created various digital portals where complex third-party data can be displayed, and insurance underwriting decisions can be made by users.

How did you come to work with MUXA Design Studio?

MUXA Design Studio was already the incumbent UX design agency when I joined Afficiency. The team has remained with us for more than three years. MUXA Design Studio has always risen to the occasion and now nicely complements our in-house design team.

Our relationship with MUXA Design Studio began before August 2022, and it’s ongoing.

The team is very adept at using project management tools, such as Asana, to track and monitor progress on projects. We also use Slack and have regular in-person video calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The personality and ongoing willingness of the designers to work with us have been the most impressive aspect of MUXA Design Studio.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I can think of that MUXA Design Studio can improve. We're very happy with our ongoing relationship.
