We’d like to share our experience working with Mud Mile over the past few years, and particularly during the recent transition to a new provider.

Firstly, we invested over $20,000 for essentially a subpar website. For this price we expected a high-quality website and ongoing support. What we received was a relatively basic website that required significant internal effort from our team just to bring it up to a reasonable standard. Much of the content, structure, and refinement had to be handled on our side. Support in areas we expected at this level, such as SEO and ongoing optimization, was limited to none.

The most frustrating part came during the transition. When we decided to move to a new provider, gaining access and control of our own systems was not as straightforward as expected. The process involved delays until they required a special off-boarding fee (hundreds of dollars) that had not been clearly defined upfront, nor would they support a transfer until these “standard fees” were paid.

If you like overpaying for subpar work, in which you the client will do most of the work and then be held hostage once you learn their services are subpar, well then, Mud Mile is for you.

• Website content, structure, and refinement were completed, but they were all completed from our side rather than this agency.
• Limited support of SEO, etc.

• Project management was generally responsive at times, but delivery and follow-through were inconsistent.
• Several aspects of the projects required additional revisions and internal effort from our team to reach an acceptable standard.

The engagement did not stand out in terms of unique strengths or differentiators. While communication was maintained at basic level, the overall execution reflected a similarly basic standard.
