The project focused on building a scalable subscription payments infrastructure for a global user base, including multi-currency pricing, localized payment methods, and regulatory compliance. The scope covered system architecture design, integration of third-party payment providers, development of subscription lifecycle logic, and implementation of fraud and compliance controls.

Key deliverables included an integrated payment gateway layer supporting multiple regions and methods, a subscription management system for billing cycles, retries, and cancellations, and a monitoring setup for transaction performance and failures. Additional outputs included PSD2-ready authentication flows, basic fraud detection rules, and internal documentation for ongoing maintenance.

Payment success rates increased by 11%, while transaction failure rates dropped by 20%. Subscription processing became more reliable with fewer billing interruptions, and the business was able to begin expansion into new regions with compliant payment methods.
