I’m the CEO of Optasy, an IT company.

What challenge were you trying to address with MoneySenCe Accounting?

I needed help with our corporate tax returns. We were filing GST/HST returns.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, we spoke over the phone. Then, we had a face-to-face meeting where they told me what details they need. They provided me with a list of documents that I needed to supply. I prepared these documents in Google Drive for them to review. Once everything was done, we had another face-to-face meeting where we discussed the results. Because we are filing HST every three months, we discuss the filings with them every three months. They are only doing taxes for us.

What is the team composition?

We worked with three people. One of them was the head of accounting and the others were junior accountants.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested between $5,000–$10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started sometime in the winter of 2015 and is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They were able to pick up documents very quickly and helped solve the issue. Their team attended to the project so we could file everything tax-related on time. They’ve consistently made us a top priority.

How did MoneySenCe Accounting perform from a project management standpoint?

They are well-organized. Their team has a very specific workflow. There’s also a cross-testing process where they test results in multiple ways.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I liked that they’re very responsive. They provide specific details and are able to help quickly with any issues.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would like if they expanded their services to bookkeeping.
