We have found them using clutch.co along with 5 other companies. During the pre-planning phase, MobiDev has been the most straightforward and clear, providing a detailed plan for our use-case.

The solution involves either the development of an app to interact with our API and the development of a MDM solution to remotely control the fleet of testing devices.

We had been working with a Project Manager, Account Manager, a Finance Manager, Back-end Engineer, Android Engineer, QA Engineer, QA Tech Lead and a UI/UX Designer, along with the Senior Solutions Manager who supervised the first planning calls.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have been able to upgrade our testing devices from in-house made embedded platforms, to a more modern, controllable and easy to scale system, where actual mobile devices are involved. This would speed-up significantly our collaboration with families and our on-going projects with hospitals and partners.

MobiDev works with the AGILE method, so short we had a call every day with the Project Manager to update on the development project and a weekly demo call on the status of the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The developers have been very open to suggestions and to work on solutions on problems that weren't exactly clear from the pre-planning phase. They have been very fast to implement the appropriate solutions, while maintaining a welcoming approach to creative ideas and suggestions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At the beginning we had some concerns about a few days' delay on a promised project plan, but everything has been sorted out quickly and from that moment on everything has been great.

We’re an online marketplace and a fulfillment partner for wine estates.

What challenge were you trying to address with MobiDev?

We needed to put our complicated system in place but didn’t have any developers on our team. We had EU legal requirements and intellectual property issues to consider, so we couldn’t choose an off-the-shelf solution.

What was the scope of their involvement?

MobiDev created our website from scratch. The design and development processes were collaborative. However, we required that their team automate all processes, specifying the flow for the input and output.

Their team created the design and architectural requirements and then managed full stack development, which included building the database. MobiDev used JavaScript and React with HTML and CSS formatting. Their team built the backend in Node.js and the database in PostgreSQL. They also advised us on third-party API services and legal requirements. MobiDev is now helping us build our in-house resources.

What is the team composition?

Throughout the engagement, we've worked with around 10 people in total. We collaborated with a project manager, a technical lead, and a QA team. When needed, we received resources on demand, such as legal advisors and designers.

I worked with them on another project and was happy with the outcome. I initially met one of their representatives at a startup technology event.

I felt properly advised about which technologies to use throughout the project. Their team built the site using up-to-date and scalable technologies. They look after us well.

Our main point of contact is a capable project manager who advises us well. Their team followed an Agile-Scrum methodology, so we had retrospectives and planned sprints together.

Our company designs and sells 3D printers for large and small industrial concerns as well as designers, artists and other professionals and also to domestic markets. Founded in UK and with offices in the USA we have around 150 employees. I am the software manager responsible for all aspects of the company that relate to customer facing software.

For what projects/services did your company hire MobiDev?

We had a requirement to build a software platform to allow bespoke offerings to our customers and particular industries to support the use of our printers. At that point our internal development capabilities were limited and time was short in a rapidly changing market.

In order to support the sale of our printers we required rapid development of a system, which we could continue to develop internally in the future, whilst we built up a team.

What were your goals for this project?

Automation of operation is a growth area in our field and software is a key enabler to achieve this. Each customer even in a particular market segment is slightly different in what they need to support this aim, so a flexible, configurable system was necessary. Additionally operation in the cloud, on premise and on desk top was a goal of the project.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

Before I worked at the company several alternatives had been explored of which MobiDev was one. When I arrived we reassessed these alternatives as well as searching for other possible candidates.

MobiDev’s mode of operation supported the ability to carry out a small pilot project based on business analysis, with which we were able to determine suitability and gain confidence in terms of relationships and technical abilities. Also, the flexibility and possibility for elasticity in delivery supported our requirement to match our financial needs in case of peaks in troughs in our position in a dynamic and developing market.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

MobiDev supplied end to end services, from business analysis, research into technologies and platforms as well as standard development testing and not least project management services. Development was carried out with 2 week sprints in an agile process.

They were always open to discussion about approaches based on my and other colleagues experience and facilitated this professionally. Early on in the project we jointly discovered a hidden requirement which required a change in the plan/schedule and MobiDev were able to quickly reconfigure the plan and architecture to support this, which has led to a more staged delivery of the software system, allowing us to get parts of the system to customers sooner than planned.

What was the team composition?

The team size varied from 2 or 3 at early stages a period of around 5 and we plan to move up to around 7 in the future. At the current stage there has been 3 developers 1 QA engineer and a project manager (around 50%). In earlier stages we had Business Analysis team members. At each stage we also had access to specialists in system architecture, devOps etc to call on.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

As mentioned above, we are able to deliver support to our sales team through the ability to offer to customers additional value, beyond our printers’ performance, as just ‘products’, impressive as that is.

By additionally being able to support increased process automation we can additionally offer increased productivity gains to them. Our platform co-developed with MobiDev is key to achieving that aim already even before the project is completed.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Even though the Project Manager was not full time, it felt that they were full time. Regular meetings, based around the sprint cycle, covered progress and work for the next cycle. Issues raised were dealt with promptly and with out significant schedule impact.

The final proof was in software components and functionality delivered with very little work necessary to tweak for incorporation. Communication was via Jira/Confluence and Skype meetings. Also one visit to MobiDev’s office a few months after the project started also helped significantly with the execution of the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their robust execution of business analysis and sprint execution was the most impressive, followed by access to a wide range of expertise that a company of our size will not have for a while are high lights about how MobiDev worked.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Very little that can be improved up on by a team working remotely. Infact in some ways it is a benefit as documentation has to clear. Having worked with UK, US and European development teams, this team is certainly at the very top of my list of effective ones, and a pleasure to work with.

Some may say that they are not cheap, but if one considers the speed of ramp up to full effectiveness they are very good value for money. If I had to express one area for improvement it may be to introduce automated testing in earlier, but that has already been addressed and was never a real concern.

Once approved, clients can create a virtual garage of cars they want to drive and run all elements of the subscription service within the app. They also built the backend admin tools for the app and worked on our algorithm. 

Additionally, Mobidev helped us with elements of our website. The team made the website more dynamic, pulling information out of our databases and displaying our vehicles in a more eye-catching fashion. Our team provided the internal design and development, but they helped augment some of the capabilities. Their team helped us put our roughly sketched ideas into wireframes and understand what technology was necessary to make the wireframe functional. We went through lots of iterative concepts before they ever began coding.

I can’t be happier. Initially, I was afraid the technology for this idea wouldn’t work, but that’s been the least of my worries. We currently have 20 restaurants in New York City with a few thousand users. If I am getting market feedback, they are able to implement high-quality solutions quickly.

How did MobiDev perform from a project management standpoint?

I’m very satisfied. There are no language problems and they are very communicative. They take your vision and gave better ideas and better ways to do it. The team is very constructive and consists of very nice people.

MobiDev is young, energetic, and professional and employs over 200 people. Thus, if they needed to get around a problem, there is someone available to fix it. With a smaller in-house team, if things get stuck, there’s no one to fix it. We didn’t have that issue. Some team members come to New York 2–3 times per year.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Compared to the previous company I worked with, they were very fast and very responsive. They were diligent and assigned developers as needed. However, they were also realistic. If I asked for something to be done in one week, they let me know if it couldn’t be done and told me why. They would not say yes and then drag me along for a few weeks.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not really. I worked with them on a time and materials contract rather than a fixed contract. They didn’t give a fixed price or binding estimate, and sometimes they’d go beyond that. Sometimes, they also gave a time estimate and went beyond that. But that's common in technology development.

I would check to see if prices remain quite competitive. My other recommendation would be to take time to make sure of what company you want because it’s better to stick to the same company. If there’s a snag, you need to pay someone more money to fix the problem.

Then there’s the social aspect to the Android and iOS apps they developed. They developed features so users could share stuff with other people in life in real time. Users could comment on a document in real time.

The iOS app is the latest Swift, PDFKit, and Core Data. On the Android side, it’s more varied because there’s more third-party stuff. They used Kotlin as opposed to Java. Their developer suggested a big database for the app, which turned out to be pretty important.

We started out with a team of two people and now there’s eight people. There’s a designer on the team who is really good. We also worked with a project manager.

We’re getting rave reviews on the Android app for how fast and how smooth everything is. We also have great ratings on the App Store. I get emails from customers saying how great the app is and how much better it is over the website. Now it’s up to us to promote the app. There are so many more features we’re planning. It’s going to be ongoing for a long time.

They delivered excellent quality work. The database their developer suggested turned out to be a really good choice. I wouldn’t have gone for it since it’s pretty new, but it turned out to be really fast.

How did MobiDev perform from a project management standpoint?

We have an effective communication system. They send me their questions daily. I respond in the afternoon or evening and they look at my notes the next morning. We have calls twice a week with the team. If there’s something that’s faster to explain over Skype, we do that. There has never been a problem. We can send them notes and they’ll get it very early our time and they’ll look into it.

Compared to most other apps I’ve seen, ours is more complex. We had to go through lots of notes, design meetings, and decisions. They kept up with it. Their project manager is extremely organized. By now, I’ve probably sent them over 1,000 pages of notes and he still keeps track of everything I say. I’ve been looking on their tracker and we’re up to more than 5,000 which includes bugs and other requests combined.

They’re the best at mobile development. They’ve got the entire process down and the tools. The iOS and Android teams seem to communicate really well. I never have to repeat anything I said before. The Android folks got the stuff from the iOS folks and that worked well.

Everybody that I’ve worked with has been very professional. They know what they’re doing. They get things done.

They really took on the project on as their own. They take pride in the project, which makes a very big difference.

No, I can’t think of anything.

Stay connected and get their opinions. Don’t try to force them to do things without having discussed everything. They make their thoughts known. I found over time, there’s a balance between asserting what you want and really trying to understand where they’re coming from.

We first created a design with MobiDev based on our initial ideas, and we leveraged existing content from the original site. Their team then advised us on how to set up our database while leveraging some existing infrastructure. We worked with a backend developer to define the logic behind users feeds. MobiDev helped us figure out the mechanics and timing behind our content posting and notifications—a detailed and intensive process.

After that, their team tested each feature extensively. They then set up environments for tests, staging, and production so we could run a final level of end-user testing. Everything worked as intended, and every feature was tested extensively twice. Finally, we pushed the app live.

The app is only for iOS devices at the moment. It serves two user groups, each with a specific set of features, notifications, post types, content, pictures, text, and more. MobiDev used JavaScript to create a web component, and we host our servers on AWS.

We communicated over Skype and Google Hangouts, while relying on Jira for issue tracking. MobiDev had access to our Jira account and certain AWS keys so they could work according to their time zone. Their teams blended well with our full-time product and engineering teams and were proactive and keen to point out things they knew we could improve together so as to provide a greater value to our users.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The executives I met were very impressive. What their CEO and team have been able to achieve, while staying humble and thoughtful, is nothing short of outstanding. We paid only for what they worked on, and we were not overcharged for anything. MobiDev as a company is invested in the technology community, participating in conferences, giving presentations, and sending their engineers to international competitions. Working with MobiDev was a material competitive advantage for us.

I cannot think of anything in particular. I feel that I had more to learn from them.

One thing we did that proved to be effective in hindsight is we started with only a two-person engineering team, while also allowing for project management resources in our initial budget. I can recommend this approach to others, because it will help the MobiDev team to build autonomy and also provide peace of mind to the hiring company. Project management might seem like an unnecessarily large percentage of the overhead initially, but for us, this investment proved to be worthwhile later on when we expanded our team under the auspices of MobiDev.

Inevitable Digital has a product called StayGo, which is a relationship and dating support application. It’s for people who are dating or are in relationships that want a little scientific guidance and feedback as to whether their relationship is on the right track and whether they should stay in the relationship. I’m head of operations.

What challenge were you trying to address with MobiDev?
We didn’t have an in-house development team or an external development consultant. We have worked before with two different companies based in India. In working with companies out of India, the conversations weren’t about what our business objectives were, what our priorities were, or what was most important to focus on. I’d worked with developers in New York and the West Coast as well where I had the same experience. MobiDev had a mission and goal approach as opposed to tactics and strategies.


**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?
The app is cross-platform. It was developed using PhoneGap for iOS and Android. We wanted to be on both primarily mobile delivery systems. We also optimized for particular tablets and for desktop, but it wasn’t our primary consideration.
We leaned on them heavily for design. They created our stylebook. We gave our feedback on that, but we went through the same process that you would go through with a creative agency. Marketing isn’t something they offer, but the added benefit was a client service meets strategic support component.
What is the team dynamic? 
Our team was made up of three developers, a project manager, and a part-time designer. They could ramp up or down as needed, but the team was pretty consistent over a year. We also had a client services manager assigned to us who was a non-billable person and made regular check-ins to make sure things were on track. They asked us for feedback and asked questions to be sure everything was running smoothly. They have a whole team of these people that reach out to clients.
How did you come to work with MobiDev?
I posted a job on Upwork. I got responses from 40 - 50 companies and individuals. Someone from Upwork looked at the list of applicants and recommended that I pay particular attention to MobiDev. He told me they were the number one rated software company in the world. I narrowed the list down to 5–6, and MobiDev’s approach was really different. The questions they asked were probing and helpful to me in shaping the approach we were going to follow.
The typical vendor would say they’re ready to take on the project right away and want to move forward. MobiDev put forth a customized presentation. They invested the time to do a legitimate presentation that looked super professional. It included questions that they wanted to follow up with. They were the only company that didn’t give an immediate budget. MobiDev let me know when their questions were answered they could give me an estimate. They had a set of processes for how a client gets brought onboard which was very different from the other companies I was looking at.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them at the end of 2015. In the middle of 2016, we moved forward with the full application. They continue to support the app. We are now evaluating a new module that we intend to build. They’re helping us by going through the same analysis process we went through the first time. They’re acting more as consultants now.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We did a test phase and did less than $1000 in marketing, and within less than two weeks, our StayGo application in the iTunes Store was ranked in the top 100 lifestyle apps out of 140,000 apps. People reviewed the app from Australia, Ukraine, USA, etc. We got a lot of credit for the content, the user experience, and ease of use. They built a great app.
How did MobiDev perform from a project management standpoint?
Skype has been our primary communications platform. We’ve used various kinds of software for sharing information and imagery for evaluation approvals and deliberation.
MobiDev is in eastern Ukraine and I was concerned initially about the time issues. Having worked with India, I found that I was regularly sleep deprived. I either had to get up early or start work at night in order to get anything done. I was also doing a lot of micromanaging. What I noticed with MobiDev was they did some time shifting with us because we’re in Los Angeles. We were getting calls mid-morning and I never had to lose sleep or stay up late at night. I noticed MobiDev was accommodating people on the East Coast through lunchtime, and people on the West Coast almost to lunchtime. That way quite a bit could get done in real-time communications, which was great for staying in sync. There was also the added benefit of waking up in the morning to find work that had been done while you were sleeping.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What made MobiDev different from the very first conversation and exchange of written information was that they were analyzing our business. In doing that early analysis of whom we are and what we wanted to accomplish, they were really focused on what the software strategy would be.
The quality of their team is also impressive. They have a super high technological intellect and skill. Whatever is the most contemporary, state-of-the-art tech stack that you could bring to a project, MobiDev appears to have that at their fingertips. That probably is a result of the people they hire. We double-checked some of their work and it seemed like the options they suggested were the most efficient, scalable, and cutting-edge technology. We would not just have momentary progress, but the progress could be built on going forward. We’ve gotten to know a good number of their people including Oleg, the founder and CEO. We’ve noted that every person that works at MobiDev has an incredible level of passion about what they do. The two designers we worked with were very good. Even the person who runs QA has a level of animation and excitement about what his purpose is that is really different than how other people would define that position. He sees himself as the final protector of the mission of the client. He doesn’t see himself as the bug fix-it guy.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They did a great job for us. I don’t have even a minor criticism. Anyone would be stupid not to have MobiDev on his or her short list of companies to talk to. Even if they don’t hire them, you can never lose by picking the brains of the really smart people at MobiDev. For any new startup or large enterprise, I think MobiDev should be on their list.

To implement an AI chatbot in the application we had already launched, our AI engineers first assessed the existing infrastructure and identified technologies that aligned with the client’s technical and business needs. We integrated the LUIS Service to enable the chatbot to understand user intents and extract key details, ensuring accurate and context-aware communication. To streamline information delivery, we used the QnA Maker Service to create a scalable knowledge base, allowing the chatbot to provide quick and precise answers to frequently asked questions. The developed chatbot helped the client reduce call center workload and provide 24/7 assistance to patients, thus enhancing the overall user experience.


### AR-Powered iOS and Android Apps for Travelers
Augmented Reality iOS and Android apps are an innovative solution for travelers that comprise AR-based discovery, using complex animations and geolocation features for organizing trips and provide users with real-time information. Additionally, this solution allows to take interactive tours to view places of interest in the augmented environment. We created an app that offers AR-enhanced discovery for travelers. The delivered iOS product was launched as a key part of the client’s marketing campaign. It allowed the client to attract plenty of media attention and convert it into business opportunities.
This project is a prime example of a business seeing business value in AR innovation and embracing it well before its competition.


### Mobile AI-Based Training Platform for Athletes
Since beginning our cooperation in 2022, MobiDev has developed a mobile application for iOS and Android for BeONE Sports. Powered by the client’s custom pose estimation ML models, the app has become a reliable tool for comprehensive athlete workout analysis. Following its launch, we continue to expand its functionality, while BeONE Sports grows its client base through collaborations with major sports events and universities, including the Lone Star Classic Tournament with 20,000 athlete participants and Rice University, which boasts 400+ student-athletes and 100+ coaches. BeONE Sports’ achievements have been recognized globally, earning it the title of TOP 10 AI Sports-Tech Startup 2024!


### Custom SaaS Marketplace for European Wineries
Over three years of extensive collaboration, MobiDev provided full-cycle software development for Winejump, a SaaS platform that enables local wineries to sell their wines directly to customers across Europe. After launching in 2019, Winejump continued to evolve, expanding its services from 150 to over 1,500 wineries.MobiDev designed and developed an online marketplace from scratch. Using JavaScript, React, and Node.js, they built the website based in PostgresSQL. They also provided technical and legal consulting services.
Using modern and flexible technologies, MobiDev delivered an operational website that secured numerous investments. They provided valuable advice that ensured the delivery of a high-quality, compliant site. Their diverse expertise leads to an ongoing partnership to augment internal resources.
 


### AI-Enabled Biometric Authentication App
Throughout our 7-year cooperation, we have guided the client through a successful journey, from exploring the viability of their idea from a technical perspective to the continuous development and enhancement of an enterprise verification-as-a-service (EVaaS) product. This product enables biometric authentication using face and voice recognition, meeting the demanding needs of the healthcare, insurance, and banking sectors.Secure Biometric Authentication App is a microservice-based web software with a verification-as-a-service solution for secure access to sensitive data. It enables biometric authentication with facial capture and voice recognition. Anti-Spoofing is the final highlight of this project with an appliance of Data Science for proper biometric recognition.


### AR Consulting & Development for Home Renovation
From the inception of the client’s idea for an AR-based application designed for home improvement specialists, the MobiDev team provided AR consulting and developed the first version of the Home Scanning app. The client received software that integrated key features for AR-based measurement, visualization, and real-life estimation.We developed a comprehensive technical strategy tailored to the initial version of the application. By conducting extensive brainstorming with the client, our business analyst and software engineers ensured alignment with the client’s business goals and user needs. This process allowed us to prioritize features to meet expected deadlines and suggest an optimal tech stack, considering the application’s potential for future scalability.We developed a functional prototype for iOS devices, launched via TestFlight, allowing users to experience the core features of the Home Scanning application in real-world scenarios. The prototype successfully demonstrated the viability of the client’s concept while ensuring it met the expected performance and feature requirements, paving the way for further development.One of the core challenges we addressed within the initial version of Home Scanning was enabling users to mix different materials on the same surface. To overcome this engineering hurdle, we developed a custom algorithm and used a Graph data structure. This solution allows users to divide floor areas into multiple zones and assign a unique material to each one, visualizing how various materials and objects interact within the space in real-time.The MobiDev team successfully delivered the Home Scanning prototype and tech strategy documentation within the established timelines, ensuring the unique features of the application met the expected requirements for measurement accuracy.


### Custom Software for an AI Delivery Robot
Over the course of four years of extensive cooperation with Refraction AI, MobiDev provided full-cycle software development for the robotic delivery solution. After the service went live in early 2020, Refraction AI continued to grow and evolve, attracting a total investment of $10.7M.
Before initiating development, the MobiDev team conducted tech strategy consulting to ensure smooth integration with Refraction AI’s existing system. This phase resulted in a roadmap for frontend development designed to align with Refraction AI’s business objectives, deliver the desired user experience, and utilize the relevant technologies within the agreed timelines. After Refraction AI expanded the MobiDev team to cover full-cycle development, we conducted a software audit of the existing backend.
Initially, the delivery robots could handle only one order at a time. However, Refraction AI created a new generation of robots equipped with compartments that could carry multiple orders in a single trip. The MobiDev team developed an automated order-assignment algorithm that optimized delivery routes by grouping orders traveling in the same direction while ensuring on-time delivery. This order batching feature allowed Refraction AI to manage complex conditions, such as prioritizing orders based on delivery times (e.g., immediate deliveries within a 30-minute window or scheduled orders for a specific time) and accounting for order cancellations. Additionally, the system was tailored to Refraction AI’s specific flow management, as the company worked with third-party systems like Bringg or OLO to receive orders, requiring real-time confirmation of whether a delivery could be completed within the required timeframe.


### IoT & AI Application Development for Smart Home
CUJO (CUJO AI now) is the global leader in using Artificial Intelligence in the security and privacy of connected devices. We were contacted to develop mobile applications for users to manage CUJO devices with both simplicity and the user experience in mind.CUJO is a smart device, based on the Internet of Things, that protects home networks from hacks, malware, viruses, and virtual intrusions. The goal was to develop an application for iOS and Android that would help the user control a CUJO device and allow them to monitor the security of the network.
The accompanying apps for iOS and Android provide the main interface of interaction with a CUJO device. They give full control over home Internet security, allow to see connected devices and get alerts whenever a threat is blocked.It’s great to know that the product we were involved in making was in the spotlight at a major tech conference. The product we were working on was awarded the “Best IoT Security Integration” title at CES 2018.


### RoR-Based SaaS Finance Platform for EU Projects
MobiDev developed an accounting and reporting software using a database and Ruby on Rails framework. The product enables multiple users to share data securely and quickly. They continue to maintain it.

### IoT Product Development for Automotive
Starting cooperation in 2017, Cete Automotive GmbH engaged MobiDev to work on its software product line, including upgrading Active Suspension Control (ASC), an EU-certified Internet of Things mobile application that allows users to customize their vehicle’s height via smartphones. After MobiDev completed the ASC upgrade, Cete Automotive provided clients with a more stable and reliable solution, attracting over 10,000 downloads on Google Play.Since our focus was on modernizing the existing application, our first step before development was a software audit. Dedicated tech experts thoroughly reviewed the existing code and, based on the client’s requirements for the improved application, created a development plan with prioritized platforms and features. As a result of the software audit, we proceeded with the tech strategy creation. Within this strategy, the iOS application was prioritized as the first to be upgraded.As part of our IoT app development efforts, we concentrated on ensuring seamless integration between the software and the client’s custom hardware, conducting non-emulated testing on a real car. In line with the approved development plan, we began by modernizing the iOS application and successfully submitted the updated product to the App Store within 5 weeks.After launching the updated iOS app on the App Store, we continued its enhancement and moved on to modernizing the existing Android app. Since the release of the updated Android app on Google Play, the ASC has achieved over 10,000 downloads. For the past years, our collaboration with Cete Automotive GmbH expanded to include upgrading the Active Sound Gateway (ASG) application and developing the Active Valve Control (AVC) app from scratch. 


### Cross-Platform POS Solution for Hospitality
In 2014, following a disappointing experience with another development company, the founder of SmartTab turned to MobiDev to take over the development of a premium POS solution tailored for restaurants, nightclubs, and bars. Over the years, MobiDev has helped transform SmartTab into a comprehensive ecosystem, enhanced by AI-powered demand forecasting analytics. Since the start of our collaboration, SmartTab has evolved from an ambitious startup into an industry leader, now serving over 1,000 venues and chains.Before diving into development, the MobiDev team created a set of detailed project documentation and recommended the most suitable technologies for the SmartTab system, ensuring high scalability and seamless integration with third-party services related to the payment systems, gift cards, reporting, biometric verification, ID scanning, etc.In addressing high-velocity and high-volume operations, MobiDev adopted a comprehensive approach, encompassing both technical and UX aspects. While developers successfully reduced the response delay to a mere 0.03 seconds, UX designers concentrated on minimizing the number of clicks needed while interacting with POS systems.The MobiDev team consistently enhances SmartTab, introducing new roles and features. Notably, leveraging data from POS systems, venue owners receive AI-driven demand forecasting insights on their venue management dashboard. Additionally, the iOS and Android apps for guest streamline service by associating credit card data with their account and offering a menu, so that guests can avoid queues and place orders by themselves.


### Custom ML-Enabled ERP and POS Software for Retail
Beginning in 2013, MobiDev has transformed Comcash from a locally-based POS solution to a complex cloud-based retail ERP system with advanced data science capabilities. Today, we continue to support Comcash development, ensuring the platform operates flawlessly in over 3,000 locations and integrates seamlessly with diverse custom hardware.ComCash is a cloud-based system to retail and restaurant businesses on an ongoing basis that comprises ERP, desktop and mobile POS software, accounting and inventory management software, an administration portal, and an eShop. Data Science integration is also included in this system that allows to: 
1. Boost sales by making weekly demand predictions 
2. Offer relevant accompanying goods to customers
3. Make targeted discounts by dividing goods into specific groupsMobiDev team implemented an adaptive selective model that forecasts demand for the upcoming weeks, based on users’ retail sales data. Processing this data to identify high-demand items was crucial, utilizing several autoregressive models with external data inputs. A key feature of this model is its adaptability, allowing forecasting for specific products at any given time.Utilizing DS/ML libraries and methodologies such as Pandas and ABC-XYZ analysis, a statistical report was generated to categorize products based on popularity and revenue. This data on most and least profitable items is utilized for targeted discount strategies, ultimately boosting retail sales.Additionally, a third model, leveraging Mlxtend, Pandas, associative rules, and the Apriori algorithm, was integrated to suggest relevant complementary products often purchased together with selected items. This assists in recommending additional products to enhance each customer’s shopping experience and drive additional revenue.   


### Custom Flutter-Based Language-Learning Platform
Over six years of collaboration with the client’s in-house team, MobiDev covered development and enhancement of a mobile application for an existing web platform. Launched in 2020 during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Camino became a vital tool in the educational offerings of Studyspanish.com.Our cooperation with Studyspanish.com began with an extensive consulting stage, which encompassed both technical and business analysis. The MobiDev team prepared documentation, including a tech analysis summary, design assets, a finalized product vision, and functional and non-functional requirements. The outcomes of the consulting stage provided a roadmap for developing a mobile application that aligned with Studyspanish’s business objectives, delivered an exceptional user experience, and was built using the appropriate technologies and architecture.After completing the consulting stage, MobiDev provided a dedicated development team that covered frontend development, design, quality assurance, and project management for the new mobile application. After thoroughly assessing the project’s technical and business needs during the consulting phase, MobiDev recommended Flutter as the ideal technology stack for Camino. Leveraging Flutter enabled the consolidation of development efforts through a unified codebase for iOS and Android platforms. Thanks to Flutter’s flexibility, the MobiDev team managed to successfully implement essential functionalities such as background and offline audio playback by combining custom and ready-made plugins. In particular, MobiDev engineers developed a custom plugin to enable the “Listen Only” mode and applied the sqflite plugin to ensure offline functionality.

Following the successful launch of the application on iOS and Android, MobiDev continued to support its ongoing enhancements and upgrades over the next six years.Mood Cow is a mental care tool for primary care physicians and their patients – people who often find themselves under stress and are in need of quick and convenient assisted self-help. This medical app provides it, helping them to evaluate current psychological condition daily—and track it over time. This information maintains relevance and can be provided to their doctors with the same app, so they can use it for deeper understanding and further analysis of the problems of their patients.

An Australian-based company contacted us with the idea of creating an online platform for law enforcement agents and private detectives in Australia and Great Britain that could provide them with a security system that eliminates paperwork and saves time for end-users.IMS TILES is an investigative interviewing planning tool for law enforcements. It is a secure, scalable, and flexible system with a powerful web application.
TILES software supports all relevant mobile and desktop platforms and browsers; alongside other tools, it was built with RAD.js, our advanced cross-platform development toolkit.The system’s structure corresponds with the theory of conversation management and allows the most efficient work before, during, and after the interview. This solution is absolutely unique to the market. It has been used by Charles Sturt University at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
