Mimtec is an owner managed business which prides itself in offering a professional and responsive service to its clients.

Our clients range from large multinationals to small businesses.

The heritage of the company dates back to the 1970’s when it was founded as a GRP moulder and toolmaker, before migrating into thermoforming in the early 1980’s, with pressure forming and twin sheet moulding being added to the range of services in the late 1980’s. The business has been under the current owner management since 2006 and has continued to develop and grow which is a testimony to the commitment of our team to providing an excellent service to our clients.

In 2013 Mimtec aquired Mirror Technology Ltd, a manufacturer of specialist mirrors, subsequently in 2018 this business was relocated to Fareham and in 2020 absorbed into the main Mimtec business.

In 2015, Mimtec became the first UK thermoformer to invest in equipment to digitally print plastic sheet before forming and perform image distortion correction. This investment enables us to produce upto 2400 dpi colour images on moulded components. 

In 2019 Mimtec acquired 4Tech Ltd, a thermoforming business based in Gloucestershire, this business was relocated in late 2019 to our expanded Fareham site, before being merged into the main Mimtec business in 2020.

We are members of the local group training association PETA and have a steady stream of apprentices coming through the business, further developing our depth of skills and expertise.
