I’m the managing partner at a commercial real estate company.

What challenge were you trying to address with MillerSearles LLC?

I hired MillerSearles to do my taxes.

What was the scope of their involvement?

MillerSearles does all of my taxes to cover my tax liability and find tax sheltering. In the process, they also audit our financial statements. The only software I’ve seen them use with me is DocuSign. 

What is the team composition?

I deal with Anthony (CPA).

How did you come to work with MillerSearles LLC?

Anthony has been one of my best friends since third grade. Professionally, we’ve been working together for about five years. In fact, we’ve also done some projects together in the real estate industry. 

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve invested around $15,000 in their services. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in December 2017, and the engagement is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I’ve never had to undergo a tax audit, and I pay as few taxes as I need to — they’re doing a good job. 

How did MillerSearles LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

MillerSearles is always quick. Any time I need any tax documents, they deliver them within two hours. They’re highly reliable; I only have to give them my statements, and they prepare everything for me. To communicate, we meet in person or talk over the phone. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I can trust them completely. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’re a boutique accounting firm so they cost a little higher than others. I know that I get what I pay for, however. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Taxes and the IRS are complex, and MillerSearles are the experts, so leave everything up to them.
