What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Milk & Honey helped NYSEIA launch a successful PR campaign, resulting in several articles, op-ed placements and improved messaging for our campaign to raise New York's rooftop and community solar deployment goal. Between our press release re-print and articles/op-eds, we had 87 total placements. Key placements included: Politico NY, Times Union, FingerLakes1, NY Daily News and a TV interview on Spectrum News 1. In addition to helping us craft and place op-eds and getting New York's solar success story into the local/regional political news cycle, Milk & Honey also provided a really valuable PR coaching session to prepare us for successful interviews and supported us in strategy development/execution leading up to and through an impactful Climate Week event.

PR campaign: We hit all targets, including the national press. They created a system to rate each bit of content too; scoring the quality of the content. It was all consistently high. 

Marketing campaign: Their deliverables was just to generate the plan and give it back to me, however they went above and beyond to deliver assets and clear guidance for us to implement the project.

Via a personal connection and based on the quality of previous work experience. They had individuals with skills uniquely suited to Zetta Genomics' needs.

A PR retainer focused on writing quality content relating to the genomics space that would raise Zetta Geonomics' profile in this area. The retainer included deep though leadership content, news releases, media relations, social media support and messaging and positioning consultation.

We initially had some staff turnover but I worked primarily with 3 team members, the account lead, the social media manager and the content specialist.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

M&H produced a number press releases and blogs on behalf of multiple members of the Zetta Genomics team. They also secured a number of key press articles as a result of written content and interviews secured for Zetta Genomics executives. M&H also played a significant role in crafting the copy for the new web site. The team has provided on going and extensive social media support.

The team are very approachable and friendly and we developed a good level of interaction very early on. The team were very effective partners and operated as an extension of the core team. We had regular formal meetings and interactions and these were underpinned with regular and very accessible ad-hoc communications.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are a strong team made up of very smart individuals. The team demonstrated a real passion for Zetta's business and build good relationships with individuals across the organsiation.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

While our relative retainer is quite small, it would be great to see some 'blue sky' suggestions or ideas.

They helped us with many things. We started by discussing which words and topics would work best to gain interest from the market and the press. 

They studied our brand and worked to understand what deep learning is, and the messaging around it. They crafted that messaging for magazines and wrote articles to promote the brand to the local market. They prepared press releases and scheduled appointments with local journalists to allow us to talk about our technologies. 

They helped us with social media marketing and facilitated journalist roundtables and press conferences. They also set up podium discussions in dedicated healthcare and critical infrastructure environments. They also developed a go-to-market model for every territory and have delivered it to us.

Our company has gained traction in the marketplace and generated significant leads in terms of large health systems that are now aware of who we are and what we do. Our sales process has gained traction, too. On top of that, we’ve closed further funding since last year — everything has been truly positive for the company. 

Moreover, we’ve had a couple of great placements — Business Insider and TechCrunch —  because of Milk & Honey’s work on our first campaign. We’re also in a big hiring mode, which helps with employer branding. We can show to potential employees and prospects our coverage in the national press. 

How did Milk & Honey PR perform from a project management standpoint?

Milk & Honey’s project management is great. We have a weekly call every Monday morning where we review our tactics, what needs to be executed in the upcoming week, and our overall strategy for the quarter or year. 

The team is good at not only executing day-to-day tasks but also at bringing forward ideas on the pitches that they can do. They base their pitches on where we are and what’s happening in the national media with stories related to BrainCheck.

Milk & Honey is always looking for new opportunities for us — they’re truly proactive. They always scan the horizon to bring opportunities to us; we don’t always say yes to such opportunities because they don’t always fit, but we’d rather have too many opportunities than too few. 

On top of that, the team is great at strategic thinking. This separates them from other run-of-the-mill agencies that have worked with us in the past.

No, there aren’t any. We’ve had a great working relationship, and they’re always on top of things.

They’ve increased our media exposure. Since we’ve been with them, our Twitter exposure has grown six-fold. We’ve definitely had more subscriptions, and our national and international media presence has at least tripled. Overall, it’s been an incredibly positive relationship.
