MI Metals, Inc.

MI Metals, Inc. is a nationwide leader in aluminum extrusion manufacturing.  We have in-house capabilities that include extruding standard or custom aluminum shapes in either mill, clear coat anodize or wet solvent paint finishes.   Our four strategic locations give us the flexibility to meet client demand by providing high quality American made aluminum products with the utmost customer service.

1983

MI Metals constructed its first standalone aluminum extrusion operation in Oldsmar, Florida. The plant consisted of 2 aluminum extrusion presses, a cast house and an anodizing line. This plant was built primarily to provide extrusions to its then sister companies and initially supplied a very small amount of products to outside customers.

1998

MI Metals expanded the extrusion capabilities with a new plant in Millen, Georgia that included a new aluminum extrusion press and a 20’ electrostatic paint line.

1999

MI Metals then parent company J.T. Walker Industries, acquired BetterBilt, a manufacturer of aluminum and vinyl windows and doors that had two manufacturing facilities in Tennessee and Arizona.  Included in the acquisition were an extrusion press and an electrostatic paint line at each of the manufacturing facilities.

2001

The operations of the extrusion equipment included in the BetterBilt acquisition came under the management of MI Metals.  With the addition of these two plants, MI Metals grew to be the size it is today with a total of five aluminum extrusion presses, three paint lines, one anodizing line and a cast house well positioned across the country: Oldsmar, FL, Millen, GA, Smyrna, TN and Prescott Valley, AZ.

MI Metals, Inc. is purchased from J.T. Walker by Brook Massey
