I’m the owner of a window film company. We tint windows on houses and cars.

What challenge were you trying to address with METER & LOWE LLC?

I needed help to address the financial requirements of the government. I had a prior accountant helping me.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Wayne (Owner, METER & LOWE LLC) handled the transition period where we were devasted by the Great Recession. We had businesses get flattened, disappear, and then reemerge. The transitional capital flows because of the way they do tax law, and it got strange. His job was to resurrect the business as a JD and a CPA.

What is the team composition?

I worked with Wayne.

How did you come to work with METER & LOWE LLC?

Wayne is a lawyer and does personal, individual accounting work as opposed to doing work for large businesses. He was referred to me.

How much have you invested with them?

I spent less than $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2013 and wrapped up in 2014.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

His work has been effective. The right paperwork was filed. His service has freed up some of my time. It makes me poor but that’s what I pay for.

How did METER & LOWE LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

He manages to deliver the work he’s assigned to do.

What did you find most impressive about them?

His law degree makes him stand out and his ability to work through the unwritten system versus the formal system. He’s well trained in what he does.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Wayne is a very flexible person. He’s not quite as structured as he could be. He’s a unique personality.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You need to communicate to the accountant what metrics you use to measure your affairs so that they don’t change yours. They’re just there to record you.
