We already had a running website developed by another IT company. MeritStory took over the further development from the previous company, developed new features and fixed existing bugs. We already knew exactly what we wanted but we needed it developed, tested and released in a very short period of time.

The communication was very smooth and fast. If some of our requirements were unclear, project manager always asked for additional information to fullfill our needs, organised virtual meetings with their developers if needed.

We wanted to create an app, which is easy to use and has presentable interface.

We new about projects MeritStory did before, that impresses us. Main factors to use MeritStory was their professional can do attitude, eager to solve the challenges quick easy and straight to the point communication.

We have presented our idea of the an app, MeritStory suggested the way they can do it and it was more or less how the final version looked like. We had minor implementations in the process to make app more presentable and understandable to the end user. MeritStory provided us with the testing version of an app and after we tested it minor bugs has been fixed and app was ready to use.

We had two persons working with us project manager and project coordinator working directly with us.

We have not collected any measurable data at this point.

All the communication was flawless. Project manager quickly replied to our emails and provided answers to all the questions raised. Project manager and project coordinator made sure that all the steps to have an app ready on time has been made.

The most impressive about this company is their attitude; the team does everything to deliver the best possible product.

I’m the CTO of a Fintech Company. The Company is expanding its operations in two new countries / markets in Europe.

For what projects/services did your company hire MeritStory, and what were your goals?

Since maintaining the old CMS (credit managment system) system was too expensive, our initial goal was to completely rewrite it. We also had the idea of creating a self-service portal for our customers. Our goal was to have a scalable solution (CMS + customer self-service) to easily enter new countries / markets.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We knew the vendor as a reliable expert with experience in this field from previous projects where we worked together.

Using Scrum methodology with weekly sprints and fast iterations involving us from the very beginning, they designed and developed the MVP of the CMS using the EasyAdmin bundle on the Symfony framework in just 1 month. Immediately afterward, a customer self-service portal was created using the React framework according to our chosen design system. Towards the end of the work on both platforms, we came up with an idea to create a data aggregation platform that would automate manual work for our managers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Launching MVP in 1 month was the quick-starter we wanted. In half a year of cooperation, we have brought both the CMS and the customer self-service portal to products that fully satisfy us, and we are ready to launch them in other markets as well.

The development was done according to the Scrum methodology, with weekly sprints. The completion date was continuously projected based on the quantity of remaining work and the development team’s historical velocity. Jira was used for project management, Slack was used for daily communication, and Google Meets was used for video calls.

Transparency, open-mindedness, and a willingness to go the extra mile for the client. They are thorough, professional, and updated on the latest trends and technologies.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They seem to be on the right path already. I just want to wish them steady growth.

We came with two ideas for two different apps. We have developed an MVP with Walk the Walk app, having a prototype and design. And we also developed an MVP with Examify (from scratch).

In both cases - apps where built to MVP standards. With Examify - it was done exceptionally fast, we where in a pre-accelerator programme, and had an urgency issue that was delivered from Merit story 100% and more

Yes, always on time. The PM team - super professional, helpful and friendly. No bullshit.

Usually there's a communication issue between a client and a PM and a tech support. We didn't have these issues working with Merit story. The process was smooth and up to the highest standards.

Helping understand the scope and the timeline of the client who had no previous experience in building an app would've been helpful, however, it is not what this company provides either :)
