Who We Are
Mendel Steel is a family-owned & operated company founded by George & Joan Mendel. We are fabricators and erectors of commercial miscellaneous metals, fine residential custom ornamental metals, and light structural steel serving the Greater Pittsburgh area and beyond since 1985.
Our Process
Our goal is to provide you with the level of service that you need. In addition to our fabricaton and installation abilities, we are able to work with you, your architect, your engineer, and/or your contractor to assist with the budgeting and designing of your new project.
Services
We are a full-service company with the ability to provide you with in-house submittal drawings, fabrications, welding services, polishing, installation, and managing of projects ranging from a one scope item for your office to hundreds of items for your new building. We provide field repairs to existing steel structures as well as supply steel and embeds to your general contractor. Also offered are engineered calculations, powder coating, high-tech paints, anodizing, and galvanizing per your specifications.

Our work may be seen throughout the Pittsburgh Area at local schools, public transit, restaurants, universities, hospitals, offices, a few fine homes, and more.
