MEGALIS VFX

Megalis is a global VFX studio founded in 2017 in Japan with the ambition to become the reference for visual effects in Asia.

We started as a Houdini, effects-centric company before growing into a full production studio that reaches all aspects of content creation. This way of thinking has allowed us to always stay flexible and approach challenges in an artistic, but efficient way.

Furthermore, Megalis is looking into expanding its offices around the globe. We found success with our first full cg animation series and recently completed work on our first live action feature film, both as the sole vendor.  We have also provided work on episodics, video games, commercials, and films.

Based in the heart of Tokyo and with a new office in the south of France, we are now a little over eighty people. About half of our current staff is Japanese and the other half is comprised of people from all over the world: we are always looking forward to bringing talented artists and engineers from abroad.

Megalis’ culture includes offering aid with relocation, apartment hunting and all sorts of administrative and governmental paperwork. We also offer free Japanese lessons in the studio and many activities together to experience the Japanese culture and lifestyle at its best.
