BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am a Co-Founder at FinanceX, a FinTech company based in India. FinanceX is focused on making Indians aware of the financial opportunities and risks for investment decisions available in the market and henceforth, improve the financial literacy of the nation.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Meek Media?

Our team lacked the skills to market ourselves in the digital space. That's where we decided to bring in a Digital Marketing team to focus on our digital presence, especially social.

What were your goals for this project?

We aim FinanceX to be India's no.1 blog for financial planning, generic as well as personalized to custom goals. So, for starters, we started with social media marketing to market ourselves as a one-stop solution for financial guidance. We expected higher traffics to our website along with social reach.

How did you select Meek Media?

I asked a relative who has a great Digital Marketing team but he wasn't taking any more clients at the moment. So my partner had searched for Digital Marketing agencies in Kolkata and filtered out 10 of them based on their Google My Business profile's optimization. Then, both of us screened the websites of each of them.

We again filtered the list based on how attractive and convincing their sites were and were left with 4 of them. That's when I brought my relative in and asked for his help. He, with his Digital Marketing knowledge, had helped us choose Meek Media and I believe it was one of the best decisions in my startup journey.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

Meek Media's founder had personally discussed with me the goals of our startup. He assured me that they will create one of the best organic and viral campaigns with respect to our competitors. One of the first tasks done was to revamp our website to be more SEO-friendly and user-friendly. They reduced our monthly expenditure by adding some features to the site. and cutting down on the number of paid plugins used.

Then, they optimized our social handles after deciding on the right social media platforms to work on. Since the main focus was on SMM, they first built brand awareness by making the page active and providing value to the related niche groups. After few months, they started creating viral content which was like a booster for us.

What was the team composition?

During the start, I only talked with the founder for initial discussions. After a month, I was assigned a project manager to whom I talked with. I don't know any other person in their team or how big it was.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We witnessed an increase of 68% social traffic to our website and thereafter, increased conversions. We have actives accounts on different social media platforms. We can see people talking about us in Financial communities and referring to our services. Many have become loyalists too.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Since we are bootstrapped, I was the one communicating with Meek Media's project manager assigned to us. She was well versed in our local language. They reported the work fortnightly as discussed. I guess the content was scheduled in advance to avoid any delays which I loved. All the communication was done in WhatsApp, the platform I felt most comfortable in. We also used Notion to manage the To-Do lists. As soon as I used to give feedback, the team would immediately act on it without any delay.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They deliver EXTRA! Usually, every company/freelancer I have worked with delivers more or less upon the terms agreed on. But with Meek Media, we had a delightful experience working with them. They not only did SMM, Website Optimization but also optimized our Google My Business profile which wasn't required. They worked on FinanceX as if it was their own company.

Are there any areas for improvement?

When we were working with them, they did not provide Paid Marketing (Media Buying) service. We expect them to soon cover this space too.
